Chapter 20 The Use Of Reputation

Down in the underground, in front a demolish building a man with a neon gas mask with a dark red black robe was standing.
His brown hair was disheveled, his figure was as big as seven foot and muscular. If one was looking at his head you could notice a missing ear on the right side of his head. His nose and mouth masked with a gas mask hiding most of his plain-looking face.
He stood there still in front of the destroyed Shadow Serpents shop for a long time.
After standing still for a while he started to move closer but just before the entrance he stumbled upon a board which in it stood "The Shadow Serpents!".
His knees dropped while his hands collected the board close to his embrace.
Too which drops of tears started to fall down on the board. The man was pursing his lips and shed tears with an ugly expression formed on his face.
His expression then changed suddenly to a horrifying one "Brothers! Forgive me for being too weak to protect you guys but i swear on Ghost snake name, if heaven and earth kill me before i have killed the bastard, who had done this! My soul shall not rest!" he whispered in an infuriated and shaking voice with his bloodshot eyes expressing his desire for blood.
He soon rose up and left the place with only had a demolished building with gone memories.
While in Josiefs House, as he was watching a romance movie with his sister and Maria in the living room, he suddenly sneezed.
"ACHOO!"
"Are sick Josief?" Maria asked with concern
No! Im okey Maria!" Josief replied, while pondering "Who in the world is bad mouthing me?".

The streams of sands fall, time passed and nearly a week had already passed.
In the late evening, in Josiefs home.
Nearly everyone was downstairs watching movies and cleaning dishes, all but Josief.
He was upstairs in his room and cultivating. He was sitting in a lotus position, while as the heaven and earth energy was roaming around in his room and getting continuously sucked into his body.
After hours of cultivating, the heaven and earth energy started too thin out and Josief opened his eyes.
"My talent is low as such it affects and ends with my cultivation progress becoming very slow. Right now i am like a small frail dinghy slowly getting drifted towards the storms and tsunamis of the apocalyptic future. If i am going to get involved in big events from the future, i need to get my cultivation higher and my strength to grow in fast method."
Josief thoughts started to get heavy and in his mind, he was seeking though is memories in earth, about any resource that could help him.
"If i remember correctly around the fifteenth december, there should be a meteor crash in the outskirts of Jolly city."
"In the past the Rollo family were the one who found it and sneaked it away. Then after years, a Rollo family secret had gotten out and many news published. It was shown a various of valuable and extraordinary the resources the meteor was hiding."
Josief then exhaled and looked down.
"Sigh, but even so i would have to wait around one week until that would befall. So until then i can only complain to myself, that earth was harboring such a thin source of heaven and earth energy."
"But even then, thats okey as these problems are minuscule and with that valuable treasure, my understanding of the future and my skill from the past life i would soar through the cultivators here. It would be like to give a tiger wings and letting it reign over both the earth and the heavens."
As Josief rose up and took on some fresh clothes and went to down to his family, on the stairs he opened his phone to which it showed he had gotten messages from two people.
He had gotten a message from Vanessa and one from an Melina.
When he noticed that he had gotten a message from Vanessa Danna, Josiefs anger and hate rose at a drastic speed. His killer intent was so horrendous it could make ordinary person lose their sanity.
He quickly calmed down and looked at her message. After a moment of silence had passed while he was reading it, Josief started to chuckle then giggle until he started to laugh in loud and a lunatic tone.
"HAHAHA! Its right, tomorrow is the day when that happens. I had completely forgotten!"
The message Vanessa had sent him was "Hubby! After School can we meet up with each other after school? I have to tell you something, its very urgent please?"
After Josief had laughed for a long time, he finally calmed down. He then sat down at the staircase and began to ponder about how to handle with these two people.
In these past days Josief had beautiful time with his loved ones which was precious to him, so now he had gone a little soft and was now reflecting on if he should act revenge for his past life on these mortals.
He tried to go through the advantage and the disadvantage. To which the advantage was that it probably would bring him some closure, but it would endanger his family. So for Josief the disadvantage outweighed the advantage.
But he could not help but think on how he would have to deal with the situation after.
A person saying he does not care of other meaning is a fool. A person's reputation is extremely valuable. It helps other on how to see you, as a seller, a man or a cultivator. If a person has a bad reputation it could tell how evil or dangerous he is and if they have a good reputation it could tell how righteous and upright that person is.
But even though these facts are right, that does not make from someones reputation is everything and always right.
Reputation is only a term, its most primal use is to help others on how to see you as, but it has also many other uses like for some its just a tool for something, while for others its their world, its their everything.
As it helps people obtaining their superficial desires such as righteous fame, or their lust for more women, or for their greed of wealth.
Josief was contemplating how he should deal with the rumors. Should he humiliate her and destroy her reputation or should he play as a victim off the break up, the more he wondered, the more ideas came to him and to which he choose the best way.
Until he finally chose what to do. "This is the best way for me to handle this situation, which can spare me and my family from the anger of the Danna family."
After that he decided how to handle the problem with Vanessa, Josief replied with some caring word and some hearts and a went to check Melina message.
These past days he had communicated numerous of times with her. Sometimes from late night to the early morning.
They talked about how their days were and what they did and sometimes teased each other.
For Josief who had lived a long past life, he knew how to initiate conversation with with other people.
"It seems my idea of having a good relation with her was not for nothing, with this it should not be any problem to ask her for to buy a ticket when the auction is going to happen."
Josief smiled and closed his phone and wasted rest of his day with his family.

Next day early morning, Josief quickly woke up and went quickly to shower. After he finished showering and taking on his clothes he went down and went o make a huge breakfast.
As Josief had started cultivating his body, it started to get more durable and stronger, but as his body grew it lead to that he also needed more food and especially meat.
So while he was making big breakfast for everyone, the others started to wake up and made themself ready for work and school.
When they sat down at the table, they prayed and then started to eat.
After they ate and left home, Josief and Maria went to school and straight to class.
Time slowly passed as Josief went through some tests and lessons, all until the bell slowly rang, and school had finally passed.
As the bell rang, Josief was sitting still on his chair while gazing out the window and right at the dark cloudy sky, while as the snow fell in great quantities, all from the heaven down to the earth.
"Sigh! It seems its time!" Josief sighed heavily and turned to Maria and continued saying "Maria, wait for me outside of school!", and he quickly left the classroom.
The snow gracefully falling down, while covering the ground with its color. A elegant individual was standing out while being wrapped around in a luxurious fur jacket. Her pale pretty skin, her tall and slender limbs catching the attention of any boy passing by.
Vanessa was waiting for a while, until Josief came.
"Josief!" she shouted and smiled at Josief.
"Yes!" Josief smiled to her
"Lets break up!" She said with her eyes glaring at him.
Josief expression was baffled, he was shocked and looked back at her
"What! Why? Did i not love you enough? Was it something i did? No you can do this to me! You said you loved me, was that a lie?" Josief continued begging, desperately talking as his voice was shaking, his expression was heartbreaking while his eyes were starring down at Vanessa.
After Vanessa finished listening to Josiefs desperate questions, she then glared at him, her glare was as daggers as when Josief looked at her eyes, he felt as if his heart was getting pierced by them.
Josief! We are people from two different worlds! Josief, I am from the mighty Danna family while you are a nobody, an insignificant person in this the world!
Also frankly i had some good times with you but you were more like a toy for me. As i had fun with you, but it was only too i had grown tired from you and had to search for a new interesting toy."
As Josief heard Vanessa his face was expressing a look of despair, his knees started to feel weak and fell down while streams of tears size of pearls to rolled down, leaving their mark in the snow.
