Contracted boyfriend

"Hey knucklehead! leave her alone!" A guy strolling down the street heard the commotion and rushed to help. Realizing that the thugs won't back out, he threw a garbage can at them. It hit the thug that's besides Ariana. The other two rushed to attack him and he hit kicked the first one's knee and pinched the second thug. 


"Get lost!" he thundered and the thugs ran. Tyler squatted with one knee touching the ground next to Ariana.


"Hey are you okay?" He asked with a hint of worry in his smooth and calm voice. Ariana thanked her stars that nothing happened. She wiped her tears and she sat up.


"Thank you" She forced a smile but winced, her cheeks burned.


"Nothing, just ran into these thugs" She lied. She didn't intend to tell a stranger what happened to her and besides this guy looked so familiar, it's like she has seen him somewhere but she don't know where.


"Does it hurt?" he gently brushed his finger on her cheek and Ariana flinched.


"C'mon we gotta get you to the hospital" He got up and he helped her up.


"No you've done enough already. Thank you, I'll manage from here" Ariana thanked and she found her way to her neighborhood, she stopped at a pharmacy to get pain killers that night. 


Bella the owner of the pharmacy and a nearby clinic sat at the counter. Her daughter normally took care of the pharmacy while she focused on her clinic. She was surprised when she saw Ariana with a bruised face. 


"Dear what happened to you?" She got up with concern and worry in her voice.


"I'm fine, just a few bruise. Where Monica at?"


"I'm fine, I just need to some pain killers".


"Oh okay" Bella got her some painkillers. "On the house" She stated and handed Ariana the drugs. Ariana hated when people took pity on her. She opened her wallet and drop the money on the counter before leaving.
