Chapter 7: Good and Bad news

She ordered her maids to left meals on the table, because it was impolite to eat alone when you had already summoned others. It didn't matter whether the visitor had finished her meal, what made a difference was your attitude. Her stomach churned a croak, she couldn't pretend to stand any longer.

Embarrassed she picked a small dish just to relieve hunger and continued waiting. After finishing these small snacks, she heard a commotion outside, her friend had probably arrived and based on the past relationship, she emphasized more on etiquette and her friend more on straight-forward action. Sena Astralsong absolutely abhorred undercurrent and believed in the use of strength to deal with problems. That had given the original headaches several times.

There was a knock on the door. Lireesa gave a permission: "Come in."

Sena brushed in as if she was really mad and sifted her face carefully for a long time or that's how she felt. Until she thought there was something wrong with her, Astral sit down on the opposite couch. She gawked again and nodded imperceptibly; she then went ahead to eat the meals settled on the table between the two. Lireesa could only roll her eyes for this pure strengthening madman not having worry for her friend who grew up with her.

So, she couldn't help interrupting by asking, "You're not gonna console your only friend? You know I might not be very emotionally stable."

Sena just smacked her tongue in reply and before Lireesa got really annoyed she raised her hand as a sign to surrender and said, "I've been with you for many years. I know exactly how you behave when you're not mentally sound. I was worried prior to meeting you, so I busted in. Who knows you are heartless to your husband. No worry, no sadness, just enjoyment."

Lireesa could only comfort herself, her cover was not blown off. She simply replied, "So, the reason for the previous embarrassment was to check on me?"

"It's yours, not mine," Sena interjected, still eating with her hands. Because the time was still in the morning, there weren't any heavy dishes. "I'm interested, why you're not heartbroken as I thought. I know you like a book and based on my inference; your reaction shouldn't be this."

Of course, you wouldn't know because she changed from inside out, Lireesa bitterly said in her heart. Now, she kind of missed the original after they fused together. She was a gentle senior for her, the first warmth in this unknown world. Her action had brought numerous conveniences to the current Lireesa, filling the knowledge gap to quickly adapt to this world without having to look for the information, not to mention transferring her fighting experiences.

Sena saw Lireesa's face changed full of melancholy and misunderstood her as still having some grievance while meanwhile decided to move on. Sena blamed herself for a moment to let Lireesa reminisced the uncomfortable past. Where would she know, she thought Lireesa was immersed in her husband death. Lireesa noticed Sena's self-blame expression and decided to comfort her.

She said, "No need to blame yourself. I just think about some past." Naturally Sena didn't believe her and came over to her couch sitting beside. She didn't want to elaborate any longer; the more explanation would probably lead to more misunderstanding. Lireesa just thought funny, whether Sena's face would turn blue after knowing her real thoughts or perhaps tried to kill her. Sena grasped her hand as if it was the only straw to give her inner peace and strength.

"Don't think too much," Lireesa could only make her relieved for now. "You know me since childhood, how could I be so fragile. I was just thinking about the possible reason for his death and the future plans which I want to implement." After hearing this, Sena was relieved and relaxed just like a drunk person, laying down on her lap and looking upward at her, completely unladylike. Lireesa face turned unsightly, her heart thumped like a drum and her blood rushed through the whole body fast. Her skin boiled and heat was transmitted. It worsened when Sena rubbed her face on her smooth thigh, creating spark fire as if caused by a flint. It immediately alarmed her friend below. Sena sprung from her body and examined closely at her.

She asked Lireesa, "What's the matter? Something uncomfortable? I can even hear your strong heartbeat." Now that Sena Astralsong was very close and didn't bother to hide too much, she knew she had to change the topic. But really, although she wasn't beautiful enough when compared with her, Sena was yet attractive. She had a mature charm and delicate skin. Looking at her carefully now, all the curves were in the right place; necessary area remained plump and her willow waist could be wrapped around merely by one arm. Lireesa really want to try hugging from behind squeezing together as if in this way she could realize the love she always daydreamed. Sena, like all high elves, had a golden blonde long hair extending up to the chest.

Lireesa immediately became nervous from Sena scrutiny and had to change the topic, "I still suspect my husband cause of death. What was he doing there risking his life when not necessary? As an advisor to the King, it's on a rare occasion to not stay with the king. I'm highly suspicious of the Silvermoon council now. Sena, we may really have big enemies among ourselves."

After staring at Lireesa for a while, Sena asked, "Hasn't the murderer being found? Was it not the group of trolls unexpectedly encountering you husband near the border area?"

"Well, if that's the true story, I'm relieved," Lireesa mysteriously announced her thoughts. "I fear it is not. Only coincidence can happen. But do you really believe in several coincidence at the same time." Seeing Sena already agreeing her thoughts, Lireesa smiled. Although she didn't have the ability to swim in the political turmoil of sea when she was really young in past life, she now possessed the memories of the original which supported her new way of perception. No events could be assessed lightly unless you had hundred percent assurance. Every action brought many notions behind.

"Well, I don't think that much," Sena signed out. "What're you going to do next?" She saw Lireeza lying backward, appearing lazy and her fingers crossed.

"Do you believe me?" Lireesa asked. "Even if my action seemed crazy to others."

Sena agreed, "I believe you'd never make stupid decision." Lireesa rolled her eyes at her remark and decided to show her plan. She wasn't worried her plan would be known by the forces in capital. She trusted her judgement, not because of her relationship nor her way of conduct. It's mainly because she was going to keep Sena around her all the time from now on. So, the possibility of leakage was very rare.

"I'll just be doing that. Avenge my husband and fight with the trolls," Lireesa said firmly. "I'll ask others to help me in recruitment to increase our guards' numbers."

Sena interrupted aloud almost standing up, "Impossible! The Silvermoon council would forbid your action and prevent it from happening."

Lireesa raised her hand to prevent Sena's outburst. She held her shoulders down to sit. Lireesa asked, "You would be together with me, if I do this right?" She patted Sena back to soothe the anxiousness down.

"Forget about this. I might really need your help," Lireesa said cheekily. "Because there is good and bad news. Which one you want to listen first?"

Sena calm emotion couldn't help wanting to smack her friend's head. She thought, is it time to be careless teasing moment, we're discussing something serious. Helpless, she didn't want to reply; so, she waved her hand to signal her speech to continue. She was riding a roller coaster topic in this discussion.

"Why are you not cooperating," Liressa complained bitterly. "Anyway, let me tell you bad news first. I lost all my strength for now and need to recuperate. I might need your help in protection."

"What! What happened? Then how could you…" Sena's eyes went wide in exclamation. Lireesa knew what she wanted to say next because she was worried Windrunner position might be threatened by outside families.

"Keep calm, listen to the good news," Lireesa continued speaking, "After some recuperation and training, I'll be able to get my strength back again. Once everything is back to normal, I had a feeling, I'll be able to breakthrough the legendary realm."

Now this was ups and downs for Sena. At first, she was concerned how her friend would tackle the problem but was solved naturally. Now she was elated, to hear her friend opportunity to enter the realm of legendary rank. She didn't envy her, because she believed her friend's sad events might just be the drive. Her jubilant mood couldn't prevent her from expecting to see the first Legend among Windrunner for millennium.

In Azeroth, there was a categorized hierarchy for the powerhouses and many classifications unknown to the original Lireesa. But the current one, combining with her memories could bring out accordingly. There were two main types of profession, which were range unit or melee unit. Range units maintained their distance to fight but it didn't symbolize they were afraid of close combats. They only regard close combats as a last resort. Likewise, melee units specialize in fighting very close, but they also had some abilities that a range unit would have. In the current known world, humans and dwarfs had professions like knights and warriors as a melee, while they also had range units like mage, riflemen and archers.

In Quel'Thalas, all the melee unit such as spellbreaker and arcane swordsmen belonged to the royal family. Therefore, the regular troops were made from professions such as mages and rangers. Mages usually came from aristocrat as immense resources were needed to cultivate a mage. Civilians, apart from extremely talented ones who were being sponsored by the nobles, mostly entered the ranger professions. Windrunner family, famous for their elite ranger professions, although was a noble family now wasn't achieved straightaway when especially mages looked down on rangers a lot. They paid so much and many contributions to be able stand firmly amongst the noble families who focused mainly on mage profession.

Any studies required time and efforts and were proceeded step-by-step from beginner to intermediate to advance. Similarly, every fighting profession was differentiated according to levels from Tier 0 to Tier 10—apprenticeship, low level from 1 to 3, midlevel from 4 to 6, high level from 7 to 8, Quasi-legend rank for tier 9, tier 10 meant legendary realm—and most didn't know but Lireesa believed above tier 10 was the inconspicuous demigod realm. Every level could be further separated into early, intermediate, advance and peak.

The previous Lireesa was at the peak stage of quasi-legend rank or tier 9 peak; alongside with her enchanted weapons famously known by warcraft players as Soledar, the wrath of the stars, Lireesa could fight against the Legendary rank. Sena in front of Lireesa had the strength of tier 9, which might not be much different. However, if on one versus one scenario, she could easily abuse Sena, because she was just the advance stage of Quasi-Legendary. Stage didn't matter much before reaching Tier 8 which was the peak of high-level rank or simply called high-level peak. Once the profession entered high-level peak, every stage had a chasm and couldn't be easily leapfrogged. Naturally, this was assuming one-on-one scenario and it rarely occurred during wartime. Quasi-Legendary could single out 100 opponents alone provided that they were not all high level peak.

For example,if tier 0 fighter can easily fight three ordinary opponents, tier 1 to 3 could single out five tier 0. Three tier 3 were necessary to fight one tier 4 to 5. It's complicated but at the same time very simple. Although there was a level difference, if a group beat one person, no matter how strong as long as the opponent was highly motivated, you were surely going down. Only after reaching high-level peak and above could the strength of single person be shown more clearly.

"Please give me advice during this protection period my sister," said Lireesa. Sena patted her chest hard to show how serious her guarantee was. But, what Lireesa could focus now was her trembling soft bust.

Soft and White.
