“I didn’t send you anything else aside from that contract,” the young man reiterated in a firm tone.

That was another knockout blow that completely stunned the young woman. He was lying to her, because if he hadn’t sent it, whose handiwork was that letter? She had heard with her own ears him declaring that he hated her, that she was a gold-digger, an opportunist, and had traded herself for money.

Another thing that she wanted to see was that letter that he had sent to his mother on the wedding day, which had been carried by the young doctor because she had suffered great pain due to the contents of that letter over the past year or so.

Sakunthara turned to lie on her side again. “I don’t want to know anything else. Let’s sleep.”

“You’re still angry at me.”

“Let me have a little more time, please.”

“Thank you for allowing me to see that there is a final goal. At least I know I still have hope.”
