"Do you really know? If you did, would you trouble her so much? You know she would rather put the pressure on herself than make it difficult for others." Christopher smelled like liquor, and the way he spoke showed how drunk he was. 

After a long silence, Stainley said slowly, "Am I wrong to pursue my own happiness?"

"Nope, but the thing is that you need to not cause her trouble. You know about the problems between Theodore and Everleigh, yet you think your sudden intervention won't cause any issues?" Christopher spoke his words, looking more serious than a while ago.
