Chapter 464 Upright and Unbiased

Everleigh tilted her head slightly upward, with a hint of coldness in her eyes. "I'll be waiting."

The woman had lost all her poise, so she turned around and left.

Since Everleigh asked her to head straight to the office, she proceeded to do so.

When the nurses saw the scene, they all gathered around her and asked, "Dr. Trevino, are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Just get back to work," Everleigh responded with a smile. She didn't look embarrassed at all.

Despite this, a red mark from the slap could still be seen clearly on her face.

It was obviously painful.

Although the nurses felt bad for her, they didn't say anything. One of them went straight to the pharmacy and took some ointment to help relieve the swelling on Everleigh's face.

Everleigh was very grateful. "Thank you, Berry."

"You're welcome. Sometimes, we're just unlucky to face situations like this. It's all part of our job."

Everleigh smiled bitterly. She knew that it was a common encounter for healthcare workers.
