Prologue - A Blood-Filled Past

The details still remain unclear and the legitimacy being questionable is natural.

But the thing is, in a distant future, there's a separate world existing within our world, functioning side by side, pulling the strings, cleaning the mess and silently watching over us behind the shadows.

The men in charge of the secret world and their origins are vaguely documented, but the truth is they are not some ordinary criminals that the police and the government are looking out for. Actually, they don't even belong to the same human race as us.

Stronger, faster, sharper and, to be direct, they are a group of improved versions of human beings capable of feats that a normal mortal will never attempt nor accomplish. Who they are? Where they are from? Answers are lost in the past and digging them will bury you six feet deep.

Though they are superior and capable of even darker things, they chose to survive solely by serving the humans rather than ruling them. They chose to be merely the hands of the real monsters with power, wanting to deal with things out of greed, lust, and chaos.

Their job is to take care of the 'Unspeakable' deeds of humankind. A name stuck to their clan so well, that it became their calling name itself - The Unspeakable. Nobody should talk 'about' them, nobody should talk 'to' them. Just place the orders, don't look back and consider it done. Murder, arson, kidnapping, personal security, satisfying lustful needs, you name it, it will be done within the promised time period.

All this was a decision taken by the elder, the first known leader of this clan. Many believed that this superior race is capable of superior things, but the leader was content on being in the shadows.

Maybe the leader of the clan generations ago saw ruling humans as a hassle. Or maybe he was simply too afraid. Or maybe he realized that their race is just stronger only in terms of individual strength, but humans are a much stronger race as a whole.

'Serve them. Be their hands. Be their eyes... But Never Be Their Heart nor Their Mind,' said the elder before his demise and since then they stuck to merely serving the humans.

Now, centuries after the formation of the 'Unspeakable', their little world has become so vast and fully developed, thus forming a functioning secret society, 'The Underworld'. Multiple divisions, multiple companies and multiple clans have formed, ruled by the first clan, 'The Unspeakable' themselves.

Now it is not only inhabited by the superior race. Mixing their race with the humans was seen as a necessity and was done for generations, thus leading to being populated by a considerable amount of half-bloods from which the name half-blood has itself become a forgotten one.

It is a miraculous achievement that they remained in the shadows for so long and controlled their collective wish to live the same life as the humans with no secrecy and no necessity to do the dirty work. Though the elder's ideology and beliefs were taught to the newer generations so many times, there are still who see their oath to serve humankind as pointless. There are still who wanted to break the chains and go for world domination. There are still who see ruling the world as their birthright.

All these are curbed as soon as possible and huge efforts are made to keep their little world remain little, but can they avoid the inevitable?

Can they avoid the power struggle from ever happening? Can they avoid the mutiny from starting?

Can they?
