Chasing monkeys in the rainy night

Our private room was on the second floor. Although it wasn't high, the environment behind the building wasn't very good. There was a messy flower bed with many sharp plants growing inside. If someone jumped from upstairs, they wouldn't die easily but if they landed on those sharp plants, even if they didn't die, it would be extremely painful.

What surprised me was that Jietou chose to jump out of the window at this moment.

When I saw this situation, I couldn't help feeling annoyed and wondered what's wrong with this guy? Could it be because he had jumped out of a window in a police station before and developed an unusual habit?

I rushed to the window and looked outside. Under the dim light of street lamps shining through pouring raindrops, Jietou was running forward while chasing after a panicked monkey ahead of him.

Without looking closely, I recognized that monkey at first glance.

It was Bai Mei Monkey which should be Zui Tianshi's spiritual pet.

How could this monkey appear here? And how did Jietou find it?

Jietou chased after it like this for what reason?

After thinking for a moment, I already understood Jietou's thoughts. Obviously he wanted to catch that monkey and then let it lead us to find Zui Tianshi.

You should know that Zui Tianshi is not an ordinary person. If we can get his help, our chances of success will greatly increase on this trip.

However, now the problem is that Bai Mei Monkey is very intelligent with hundreds or thousands years' worth of cultivation experience so its speed when running away is extremely fast; you can hardly catch up with it easily.

I think Jietou suddenly jumped out of the window just now in order to launch a surprise attack against that monkey but he didn't expect that Bai Mei Monkey would still sense danger beforehand and escape early."

Seeing Jietou having a hard time catching up with the monkey, I was anxious and didn't have much time to think. I jumped out of the window without hesitation.

After landing, I quickly activated my Ling Tai Secret Art and increased my speed to the limit. Then like a gust of wind, I rushed into the heavy rain.

"Whoosh-whoosh-whoosh - bang-bang-bang"

The wind roared in my ears while raindrops fell heavily on me, soaking me through instantly. However, relying on the advantage of speed, I soon caught up with Jietou.

"Don't let it go into the mountains or we won't be able to catch it!" Seeing me arrive, Jietou couldn't help but shout.

I nodded and gritted my teeth as I accelerated diagonally towards blocking Bai Mei Monkey's path back to its mountain home.

Seeing this situation, that monkey screamed and turned around running towards downtown area instead.

This ghostly thing had agile movements and extremely fast speed; if not for my tracking method using Yuan Qi energy , it would be difficult for us to keep track of it.

Despite my best efforts, after running through a bustling neighborhood, I still felt lost and had lost sight of the monkey. However, to my delight, just as I was feeling disoriented, Jietou came sprinting down another alleyway with an expression that clearly indicated he had found the monkey's trail. Excitedly, I ran over to meet him and together we chased after the monkey down a small lane until we reached a brightly lit restaurant.

"Chirp chirp chirp! Ya ya ya!" The monkey continued to run while making noises before finally arriving at the entrance of the restaurant where it "swooshed" inside covered in mud.

Upon seeing this situation unfold, Jietou and I rushed into the restaurant only to be stopped by security guards and hostesses at the door who told us that we couldn't enter without wearing suits and ties since it was an upscale establishment.

"Excuse me," I said. "We have urgent business here regarding our monkey-"

"Just move aside! Don't waste my time!" Interrupted by Jietou's punch which knocked out both security guards on either side of him followed by his cold laughter directed towards a trembling hostess who witnessed everything; he then flew into the lobby of the restaurant.

Seeing this happen left me no choice but to sigh helplessly before following behind him saying: "Monk, you've broken your vows again. How can someone ordained hit people?"

"Nonsense," replied Jietou dismissively while ignoring all those around us staring in shock. He continued walking forward while looking for wet footprints on the ground leading towards where they were headed next: "There are also warrior monks among us monks who are better than anyone else when it comes to fighting. Besides...I'm not really a monk anyway; I am Vajra Fumo!"

At this point one of the hostesses from earlier ran back inside shouting: "Stop them! They're causing trouble!"

"I hate women like her the most. She has no sense at all. If I were her, I would run away first," Jietou sneered before picking up a chair and throwing it ten meters away directly at the hostess's forehead. The hostess then fell to the ground with a gasp.

"Let's go." With that, Jietou calmed everyone down with just one move and gave me a nod before leading me towards the back of the kitchen.

In the process, several big men wanted to come up and deal with us, but I waved my hand and sent them flying with a burst of air blades. As a result, everyone was dumbfounded. The hall that was once full of people emptied in an instant. "Oh oh oh - I'll fight you!" At the entrance to the kitchen, two chefs rushed out with knives in their hands, but it was still useless as both were beaten by me and JIETOU until they were bruised and swollen before fleeing.

JIETOU and I remained calm as we stepped forward into the kitchen using our four-square steps.

"Falling Leaf Blade, Heartless Slash!"

At this moment, there were several people wearing chef's clothes cowering in a corner of the kitchen looking at us fearfully. Apart from these chefs, there was one person who didn't seem to notice us at all and continued working on his own thing.

That person also wore chef's clothes and even had a mask on while holding a sharp knife about one foot long cutting meat on the countertop.

His knife skills were sharp like flowing water. With just one cold shout came a series of light sounds: "ka ka ka" -the pork belly on the chopping board had been cut into thin slices evenly.

"I love fruits and vegetables!"

After cutting up the pork belly nicely he chuckled then picked up a plate of fruit; flicking his wrist sending pieces flying through air before quickly slicing them again with lightning speed so that they too fell back onto plate thinly sliced.

The sliced fruit fell back into place inside its dish; he put down his knife then reached out to pick up an apple piece bending over handing it over to White Eyebrow Monkey who clung onto his leg lying on ground below him

"Lingxiao (name), you are becoming more naughty lately! How did you get yourself involved this time? Look look, they have come knocking on our door. What am I going to do with you?" He patted the White Eyebrow Monkey's forehead, laughing and saying.

"Master, this matter is probably not caused by that monkey but rather because of you. If you didn't let that monkey monitor us and eavesdrop on our conversations, we probably wouldn't be able to find you either." I walked forward while stroking the knife and fork rack on the countertop, sneering as I looked at him and said a sentence.
