She left her room and I was left alone with my thoughts again. She really pissed me off but there was no way out of this cell without her permission. I made a plan, I'd listen to her and while I'd put up a bit of resistance, I'd agree to whatever plan she'd end up having. Of course a king however isn't indebted to anyone, especially a fucker like her though. After a short while she came back with some bread and water. "Have you calmed down yet?" She asked, a mocking grin plastered across her face. I nodded. "I've been observing you and have some questions for you"
"What are they?" I asked
"Are you the one who made the speech at the Kings castle?"
"Yes, and what about it". The king had already lost a large portion of his power so even if my identity was out, the military wouldn't put out a large effort and certainly wouldn't reveal that a mere child managed to do this much damage to the king.
"I need you to join my cause" she said growing more serious
"What is that cause you keep going on about?"
"Are you planning to become king?" She asked. I nodded. "Then I want you to supply me with new followers whenever I ask, promise to do so and I'll let you be". I put on a conflicted facial expression before nodding in seeming defeat. She clearly didn't take my intelligence to be a threat and she'd pay for that.
Just as I heard the door unlock I fell asleep and awoke back at the first set of curtains. My heart burned but I'd have to bare with it until I became king. I ran out and into the street. It was already night and the city had come back to life. I pushed through the crowds and eventually made it back to the cabana. I needed my rest after all I'd been through. This wasn't fair at all, after all I'd done for this kingdom. "Get me a private room" I declared handing money over the counter.
"Alright" she said standing sluggishly
"Can you hurry it up". She paused to look at me before sighing and finally picking up her pace. We arrived and I sat, finally relaxed. "A showgirl and some food will arrive soon" she said leaving the room. I'd forgotten my hunger.
Stressing myself wasn't good at all. My social mask couldn't slip at all especially if I was to become king. Suddenly my thoughts where interrupted by a showgirl. I turned back and to my happiness, there she was in all her glory.
