A Noble’s Interrogation

After the lesser demon that used to be the assistant named Copper was dealt with, I teleported back to the capital, where the commotion was still going on.

Romanov had his hands and feet tied and was placed into a moving cell that the guards would drag along the main road to show all of the citizens the true culprit behind their latest suffering.

Before they hauled Romanov away, I told the empress that Copper was dead and gave her a piece of his clothing as proof.

"That's a shame. He seemed to know something…" the empress said.

"Are you okay, though? That looks painful." she continued, pointing at the right side of my body that was covered in blood.

"Oh, yeah, I'm fine. I already used a potion." I replied, seeing that Princess Arabella was behind her, looking worried about me.
