---2 December 1999, in a remote mountain village in England----
That winter was particularly cold.
The road was icy and full of snow
This made it difficult to reach the orphanage without first being equipped with a vehicle with winter tyres.
It was a rather isolated village; surrounded by a stretch of forest with trees that rose up to the sky and extended to the horizon.
And there in the middle of that thick forest there was a building, the orphanage:
A structure built entirely of brick, about 9 meters high;it had 3 floors.
Next to it was built a chapel, the latter on the contrary; was made entirely of wood and was very small.
Both buildings were run by nuns, and they took care of the needs of the many children who lived there, most of them left on the threshold because they were illegitimate or abandoned.
In the orphanage there were children of all ages, from a few days of life to several years, both female and male.
They taught them how to write, read, and respect the basic principles of the Bible.
There were strict rules, which had to be respected; and those who did not follow them faced severe punishment.
It was a very dark structure, some windows were broken; and it was surrounded by snowy dry trees...it was scary.
Especially in the evening, which, if you did not hear the "screams" of the children.
Who passed by could think that it was an abandoned building as it was worn and dirty.
----18:30 p.m.----
From the window of an illuminated room of the building, there was a small shadow behind the curtains ,it looked at the street as if it were waiting for someone.
"A visit was scheduled for that day."
