Louis ordered in a bossy way, "You gotta head to Upper Hill now, stick to Alicia like glue."
Haley peered into the pitch-black night, shrugged and drawled, "What if I just wanna sleep and not move a muscle?"
Louis answered coolly, "I've shot you a friend request."
Getting added by Louis, her crush, was a thrill. Haley's heart raced as she hit accept, her hand shaking a bit.
"Ding."
$5000 had just landed in her account. Haley snapped to attention, sitting up and speaking into her phone, "Alright. I'm on it. I'm leaving now."
After hanging up, a sly smile flashed in Louis's eyes. Haley was sharp sometimes, knowing this $5000 wasn't a gift, but payment for playing spy.
Half an hour later, she pulled up at Upper Hill. The house lights were off. Alicia was already snoozing. Haley softly opened Alicia's bedroom door, using her phone light to scan the room. Seeing Alicia alone, she quietly sighed in relief.
