I shut the door and leaned my head against it. I was putty in his hands and if he wanted to have his way with me tonight there was no way that I was going to say no. Something had come over me and yet I didn’t regret a thing. I heard the tires of Ares’s car roll over the gravel as he left my house. 


The sound of my phone’s generic ringtone filled the air. I pushed myself off the door and went into the living room and grabbed my purse. I had spent so much fun with Ares that my phone had been long forgotten. All that mattered was the time I was spending with Ares. The rest of the world didn’t seem to matter at that time. 


“Hey, Daddy, what’s wrong?” I asked.


It wasn’t like my dad calling me late into the night. After a certain time, he would take off his business mask and turn into a simple man who just wanted to enjoy watching tv in bed. 


“Does something have to be wrong for a man to call his only daughter?” he asked.
