ARES'S POV
I couldn’t have been prouder of Leilani. After leaving her father’s house she explained everything to me. I couldn’t believe she turned down Williams Corp for an idea she just created, but that just made me prouder. She was forging her path and not letting anyone slow her down. It was inspiring to see her take charge of her life.
“You’ve been quiet this whole ride,” she said from the passenger seat.
I hadn’t realized I was quiet, but then again, I was deep in thought about how lucky I am to have such an amazing woman by my side.
“Have I told you that I love you?” I asked.
She laughed, her cheeks flushing making her look more beautiful than she already was.
I was enthralled with this woman. I used to pity men who seemed entranced by women. I laughed at them for lacking self-control yet here I am becoming the very men I laugh at.
“You may have told the whole world first, but eventually you made your way to telling me,” she teased.
