Chapter 168 You Look Indifferent

Helen looked up at the man who was called her father, and said to Quintus, "it's my fault to make you unhappy, sir."

"What do you say?" Quintus said, "your voice is so small, I did not hear what you said!"

"I'm sorry, sir, I'm wrong!" Helen said. There was no embarrassment or shame on her face. She was still as calm as water, which even made Quintus feel scared. What happened to this woman? She kept calm even in such state. Today, for another woman -- no, for anyone else, they would show their emotions more or less. This woman, however, always seemed to be indifferent.

"No sincerity!" Quintus said. Now he was really curious of Helen’s bottom line since he was determined of her indeed having her own bottom line. From the dialogue between her and her father, he could at least know that Helen did care of her mom. But... Had Mrs. Thomas died long ago? Now the Lady of that family was even younger than Helen.
