Hyuga mansion,

Neji finished his morning exercises and started to study his lessons. Looking at Neji, Hiashi still felt very strange. Because as a hyuga, when he was at ninja academy, he didn't care about theories lessons. All he needed to know was who was good at theories lessons. At exam, just used Byakugan and became No.1 student of the class. That was how most hyuga cheat in exam. And neji, a typical hyuga did like that for five years. That jutsu was somewhat similar to 2nd tsuchikage's famous jutsu. Hindering enemies' vision by using water vapours in the air. That was the principle of the jutsu. Unlike Mu's jutsu , this jutsu cannot make the user invisible and undedectable. Just hinder the vision a little, so the enemies could not see the user clearly but only see as blur image.

Anyway Hiashi was still speechless because of this jutsu and it's inventor. You developed a jutsu just to prevent your classmates peeking your answer paper. Today kids were so competitive. If your classmates peeked your answer paper, just appreciate their information gathering abilities . That was what a shinobi should do.

But Hiashi still didn't like Neji's approach. If your were defeated in taijutsu, you had to defeat her back in taijutsu. For hyuga clan,it was still OK if they were defeated in ninjutsu, genjutsu,etc. Hyuga's gentle fist was famous as the best taijutsu style of konoha. It was their pride. Therefore Hiashi decided to teach some powerful jutsus of gentle fist to Neji. Of course, he only taught indirectly because members of branch house were not allowed to learn those secret techniques. In original time and space, Neji was able to learn advanced techniques of gentle fist without a teacher because not only he was talented but also nephew of the clan leader. If other branch house members tried to learn those jutsu by observing clan leader, they would be punished. Well, they would not even have a chance to observe.

As Hiashi expected, Neji was able to learn those secret techniques and beat that civilian girl. However after some days, Neji was beaten again. This time, that girl used a jutsu similar to Tsunade's chakra enhanced strength. Although not as powerful as chakra enhanced strength, it could be called a prototype of chakra enhanced strength. That girl remind him of someone. Just like this little girl, he was also from civilian family and very outstanding. Neji was unlucky to be same generation with that kind of genius.

Ninja academy

Today academy was really quiet unlike normal days because today was the examination day. Most students especially final year students were preparing seriously for their exam.

Daikoku Funeno was chunin instructor of ninja academy. He had been doing as teacher for a decade. He had taught many students. So in his opinion, there were not many students who can make him surprised. This year there were two students. The first one was Ten Ten. That kid was really gifted. Not to mention the students, he as a teacher felt jealous for her talents. She invited a ninjutsu although he thought it was not useful in battle. She is not only a good genjutsu user but also her taijutsu was very strong. Her speed and strength were same level with most chunin. It was just she didn't have a fighting style because she didn't have elders to teach her taijutsu at home. He had to say that he had seen only one student like her during his teacher career. And that student was Itachi Uchiha.

The second special student of this year was Rock Lee. Although this kid was not a prodigy, he worked very hard. And his aptitude in taijutsu was good. However he could not even learn an E ranked ninjutsu and his results in written exam were really bad. Under normal conditions, this guy would not be graduated from academy. But after 3rd ninja world war, especially after Might Duy defeated the seven swordsmen of the mist with taijutsu, the village no longer underestimated taijutsu. The village had instructed him to let Rock Lee graduate. He was happy to do so because he liked that hard working student although Lee was a little weird and stupid.

The written exam was finished peacefully although some students secretly used their information gathering abilities. A few minutes later, the practical exam would be started. Compare to written exam, the practical exam was more important for ninja students. Therefore some students felt more anxious. Especially Lee who could only do body replacement technique in three basic ninjutsu. If the exam test was to perform transformation jutsu or clone jutsu, he would definitely fail the exam.

"The content of practical exam is transformation jutsu. When I call your names, come to the exam room. Other students keep quiet and prepare for your turn,"Daikoku said and returned to the exam room.

"Oh! Shit, I'm done," after the teacher said the content of the test, Rock Lee cried.

"Calm down,Lee. It will be okay. Although transformation jutsu is more difficult than Substitution jutsu. It's not as hard as cloning jutsu." Ten Ten said.

"But I can't perform that jutsu. I can barely use substitution jutsu. I'm finished. I won't pass graduation exam."

"Thanks, Ten Ten." Lee replied. Although he didn't believe what Ten Ten said, he was still grateful Ten Ten for comforting him. Lee really admired Ten Ten because she was from civilian family just like him and she was a genius. Originally she was just a normal student but later she surpassed a genius like Neji by hard working. And unlike other genius who were cold and arrogant, she was sunny and helpful. She often helped students like him. The reason why he could perform substitution jutsu is also her. Lee thought Ten Ten as his eternal rival from the day she defeated Neji. So as an eternal rival of Ten Ten,he would not give up due to a graduation exam. Even if he failed this year exam, he would work his best to pass next year exam. And he heard there was a transformation jutsu expert in fifth year class. Fifth year class teacher shocked and hospitalized after seeing that expert's transformation jutsu. So if he failed this exam, he would learn transformation jutsu from that expert. In this way , he would be able to use two of three body ninjutsu.
