Playing both sides Pt 1

Dante had always been drawn to the darker side of life. He had always felt a pull towards the shadows, towards the chaos that lurked in the depths of every soul. And now, as he watched his army of undead march forth towards the enemy's walls, he felt at peace.

The sound of his minion's footsteps echoed through the woods, the clattering of bone and the dragging of decayed flesh. It was music to Dante's ears, and he smiled as he watched them march forth, a sea of rotting corpses that knew no fear and no pain.

As the army approached the enemy's walls, Dante raised his hand and a burst of dark energy shot forth, smashing into the stone and causing it to crumble. His minions surged forward, their weapons raised high, ready to claim their first victims.

"Siege the walls and slaughter them all. " Dante telepathically ordered them on looking the mayhem from a safe distance in the forest.

Spectating, Dante noticed as the legion finally reached the gates, where the first victims of their cruel slaughter being the unsuspecting newbie players.

Hearing the cries of the players, the village folk quickly assemble a makeshift army as they on looked the savage slaughter of the players still unlucky enough to be in the hunting grounds.

As the legion approached the village, they could hear the sound of drums and horns, and the villagers shouting out war cries. The legion formed a formation of monsters with attackers being in the back and defender being in the front.

The villagers stood their ground, armed with spears, swords, and bows. They had been trained in preparation for such battles for years, and they were ready to defend their homes and families.

The legion charged forward, their bodies galloping at full speed towards the villagers. Townsfolk let out a volley of arrows, taking down several monsters, but with their undying nature they arose once more, a countless amount of times. The legion crashed into the barricades, but the sharp stakes pierced through the zombies, sending them tumbling to the ground.

The villagers charged forward, shouting and screaming, their weapons glinting in the sunlight.

The two sides clashed, swords ringing out as they clashed against shields and armor. The legion had the advantage in numbers, but the villagers fought with a ferocity that surprised even the legionnaires.

Dante, the leader of the legion, charged into battle with his sword held high, wearing a robe that concealed even his face that he had snatched off the body of one of the dead players. He swung his sword at a villager, but the man parried the blow and struck back with his own sword. Dante dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the strike, and swung his sword again. The villager blocked the blow, but Dante kicked him in the stomach, sending him reeling back. After this Dante immediately took to the air releasing a hellish amount of sword swings when suddenly his sword broke, abandoning his sword he continued on using nothing but his fist slaughtering in the number of tens of villagers. With this, he retreated, knowing not to get too involved if he still wanted his rewards.

(A couple hours later)

The battle raged on for hours, with neither side gaining the upper hand. The villagers fought bravely, their determination to protect their homes and families, giving them strength. The legion fought with an icy determination, their undying nature keeping them focused.

As the sun began to set, the battle started to turn in favor of the legion. The villagers were tired and running low on supplies from the constant fighting, while the legion had no need for such items as they were undead, who did not fear death nor need any sustenance.

Seeing this, Dante immediately told his minions telepathically to weaken their attacks on the villagers, as he didn't want to erase them, thus defeating the purpose of this scheme of his knowing even if they were all dead he wouldn't be able to raid the vault as the Tier 3 priest would stop him.

Suddenly, though, his view got occupied by a quest notification and see the details of it. He smiled.
