WHAT DO YOU WANT?

**TRACY'S POV**

CRASH!!!

The shattering sound of glass hitting the floor jerked me out of the darkness.

I have never felt anything like this in my entire life. The sensation hit me like a wave, tightening my stomach and leaving me gasping for air as if I'd just run a marathon. My heart was pounding so hard it felt like it might leap out of my chest. *Who the hell is this guy?*

Panic surged through me, and I instinctively wanted to get away from him without drawing attention. In my rush, I almost left without my purse. Quickly, I grabbed it and bolted out of the club, my heart still racing.

I made it to my car in under a minute, looking around nervously to confirm I was alone. The moment I slammed the door shut and locked it, I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding. I reached for the ignition, but then... the hair on the back of my neck stood up. I knew that feeling. *Someone's here.*

Fear gripped me, rooting me to my seat. I didn't dare look back, but every nerve in my body screamed that I wasn't alone. Mustering the courage, I turned—and there he was. The same guy, sitting right in my car. My mind went blank. I did the only thing I could: I screamed as loud as I could and flung myself out of the car.

I sprinted, not even caring where I was going. My legs carried me as fast as they could, and when I finally stopped, panting and gasping, I realized... no one was chasing me. People around me were staring, giving me puzzled looks. Embarrassment flushed through me, hot and overwhelming.

And then I saw him again, standing across the street, watching me with that same unsettling smirk. His eyes, those tempting but terrifying eyes, seemed to gleam with amusement. He was enjoying this. The urge to kick him where it hurts flashed through my mind, but I knew better. Whatever he was, he wasn't human. I was stuck, unsure of what to do next.

Sensing my fear, his expression shifted. I whispered, almost to myself, "What do you want?" I knew he heard me because a smile spread across his face, even wider than before. He was toying with me. In a blink, he appeared right in front of me. I glanced around in panic, wondering, *Am I the only one seeing this?* No one else seemed to notice him. They only saw *me,* looking like a crazy person.

"Wh... who are you?" I stammered, backing away, searching desperately for an escape route. "What do you want?" I asked again, this time directly at him.

He tilted his head, eyes gleaming. "You," he said simply before vanishing into thin air.

My heart, which had seemed lodged in my throat, finally started to settle back into its place. *Did he just say he wanted me? What could he possibly want me for?* The thought that he might want me dead crossed my mind, making me choke on the fear. *I've never even met this guy before—why me?*

My head throbbed, the stress of the encounter building like a storm inside my skull. *I should've stayed home today,* I thought bitterly. *Maybe all of this would have happened to someone else instead of me...*

Before I could finish the thought, a loud *BOO!* startled me out of my trance. It was too much. My nerves were already fried. I collapsed onto the ground and blacked out, consumed by the darkness once more.
