The Unexpected Volunteer

Hector, a senior member of the group, voiced his concern with a hint of skepticism. "The vents wouldn't support our weight," he stated, his white hair cascading down to his beard, which seemed to have claimed all the hair that was originally destined for his head.

Mary, a woman with brown hair and dressed in office attire, added to the discussion. "Someone needs to go through those vents to reach the supermarket."

A skewed grin rose from the corner of his lips. He rose from the floor and crossed his arms. "Well then, looks like it's a job for a girl," he remarked, the mischievous glint in his eyes suggesting he was enjoying the situation.

All eyes turned to Kelly and Beth, leaving them at the center of attention.

Hector was quick to respond, his protective instincts kicking in. "Not my daughter," he declared, positioning himself as a barrier between Beth and any potential danger.
