CHAPTER 41: Locked Eyes.

At the cafeteria...

With a tray of food and soda in hand, Chen's attention was drawn to Jade's piercing gaze from a distance. Her eyes fixed on Mae, who was engaged in a lighthearted conversation with Liang over lunch. Chen could sense the undertones of jealousy in Jade's sidelong glance, an unspoken message conveyed through her piercing stare.

Jade sat there, surrounded by her loyal companions, enjoying their lunch as they gossiped about Mae.

"Just look at that sneaky thief eating like a pig. No class, no decency. How does Liang not throw up?" Gina ridiculed.

"Yikes! Beats me." Jade responded and the three girls burst into laughter as they talked trash about Mae to boost their egos.
