CHAPTER 107: Unending Nightmare.

Summoning what little strength remained in her frail body, Nala whispered Eva's name, her voice a fragile, tender sound that conveyed the depth of her emotions better than any words could. She sensed Eva's comforting presence behind her and made a feeble attempt to turn, to meet the gaze of her dear friend who had stood by her throughout the harrowing night.

Eva responded with a soft, reassuring smile, her fingers gently gliding through Nala's hair. In that simple gesture, she affirmed the unbreakable bond that held them together. "I'm right here, Nala," Eva whispered with a soothing tone, her words carrying the warmth of relief. "Relax, I'm so glad you're awake now."

Nala responded with a delicate, tired smile, her hand reaching out to find Eva's. She gently wrapped Eva's hand around her own body, seeking solace in their connection before drifting back into slumber.
