chapter -15( a hope of getting something and a fear of loosing everything)

Evelina entered the Prince's Harem with the 2nd Minister. Everyone bowed to them except Amanda.

Evelina looked at her.

"You seem disrespectful towards me."Evelina raiseed her eyebrows.

"I didn't expect you to be here...if I'm not wrong ,you were locked in the cell and about to faced death penalty."Amanda said annoyingly.

"Dear lady... There's no prison have made yet that can lock me up. But you should not forget to show me respect."Evelina gave a mocking smile.

"Oh I'm sorry but I'm the ist Consort and I'll be the Crown Princess as well as the future Empress ...I think I shouldn't bow to you." Amanda smiled back.

"As you wish.....by the way ...listen everyone.... I'm here to select the Crown Princess.I hope all of you guys cooperate with me."Evelina shifted her gaze towards the other noble ladies.

"Who the hell on Earth you're to select this by yourself."Amanda got furious.

Evelina ignored Amanda and look over the consorts and concubine.

"I'll report to the 2nd Empress.. She'll punish you again." Amanda shouted.

"For your kind information, the Empress told me to do so. And I'm not going to select you as I've a personal grudge over you..." Evelina said again with a smile.

"Hay, you're the 2nd consort I guess.... what's your name?" Evelina looked at a graceful girl who may be around 16 years old.

"I'm Martha . I'm from the 7th state of Western province...nice to meet you Princess."the 2nd consort bowed to her with a gentle smile.

"Okay...you seem a well mannered girl. And beautiful to... so I've decided to select Martha. 2nd Minister , can you prepare her for Prince Jordan."Evelina looked at the 2nd Minister.

"As you wish, my Princess."he bowed.

"Take care of her safety...she will be sent to the prince chamber after fixing a consummate date this week."

"Your every word will be obeyed." The Minister nodded.

Evelina is about to leave the Harem but she looked behind.

"Martha , you come with me. Let's have a chat."Evelina decided to checked her properly.

Martha followed her and left the Harem with Evelina.

Amanda feels so disgusted...how could it be...she felt so upset.

"No one can touch my Prince except me...I won't let it be..."Amanda sat on a couch and thought.

Andreas Manor:

Prince Jordan still sitting on the floor of Andreas chember. Andreas and Federico sitting beside him.

"It'll be so difficult for me to kill Samuel. He's a much better fighter than me."Federico said with fear.

"You don't have to fight,"Jordan said.

"Then we're going to use conspiracy!!" Andreas asked.

"No I don't want to use any deceiving method....just take it easy."Jordan looked at Andreas.

"Then how?"Federico asked

"I have the seal of the Crown Prince. I'll make a decree of death for Samuel sealed by me. When he'll see the Royal order for his death... he'll eventually accept his death."Jordan said without any expression.

"Wow...but if Evelina got to know that the order is from you.... it'll be a great mess."Andreas asked Jordan.

"Federico will only tell about the decree to Samuel and then destroy the paper. And everyone will think Samuel sacrificed himself for our nation in the war...."Jordan said.

"Yeah...now it's up to you to do everything carefully.... let's prepare for your journey ." Andreas left the chamber with Federico.

Prince Jordan took a deep breath. He's feeling so restless. Ist time he's killing someone or even an innocent person.

But Evelina taught him once that gaining something greater, we have to sacrifice something greater. This time he has to sacrifice his innocence.

Jordan touched his head. It's aching terribly. He's feeling hungry too. He hasn't eaten anything the whole day...Now it's almost night.

His wet clothes dried on his body that he didn't even notice. In the morning Andreas poured water on him and all the time he was wearing this soaked clothes.

"Oh...I think I should eat something and change my clothes."

Jordan stood up and left the chamber towards his own Manor.

He took a cold bath for a long time.

Evelina and Martha walking through the poolside.

"So...would you like to be the Crown Princess?" Evelina asked to Martha

"Honestly I don't want to be like that.... they'll kill me out of jealousy. I don't want to die so soon. I would rather get a handsome boyfriend to stay with me whom I don't have to share."Martha said and blushed

Evelina burst into laughter...

"So you want a handsome guy.....do you know Prince Jordan is the most handsome guy I've ever seen." Evelina looked at Martha.

"Really." Martha's eyes filled with excitement.

"Yes of course. Haven't you seen him that day!!"Evelina asked.

"I've seen him once. But he was on the 2nd floor's balcony with you that day. I couldn't see him clearly."Martha smiled.

"But you were at the Coronation ceremony ...what about that time?"Evelina asked.

"The other consorts didn't let me see him properly...it was crowded you know!!"

"But Prince is enough handsome for you.....when you'll see him, you will understand."Evelina said.

"Will he love me too?"Martha asked with a sparkle in her eyes.

"Yeah... he'll love you the most."

" I always dreamed of true love....if I get that , then I don't want anything else."

Martha was overwhelmed with joy....she became so happy.

Prince Jordan changed her clothes and called for Andreas.

"What's the news, Andreas?" Jordan asked.

"Federico left for the South...I hope he'll succeed in his mission,"Andreas said.

"He have to be... orelse I will kill myself." Jordan's heart filled with bitterness

"Oh,my Prince... Don't be like this. Think positive." Andreas said.

" Yeah .... I'm trying."

" Behave as a normal person.... Don't let Evelina suspect you...." Andreas said in a supportive way.

"Okay.....but. ..Have you seen Evelina? I haven't seen her for a long time...."

"Yeah...I saw her around the poolside."

"Okay.. I'm hungry.you prepare some food. I'll go bring Evelina. I want to have a dinner with her. I don't know destiny will turn to whom...May be I won't be able to get the chance to dinner with her next time. WHAT IF FEDERICO FAIL THE MISSION?"jordan tried to hold back his tears.

"Prince, everything will be alright by the grace of almighty."Andreas said.

Jordan left the chamber without saying anything .....

Evelina and Martha are talking for a long time. They became good friends. Evelina never had a female friend before. She's enjoying Martha's company.

"Evelina, you're here.I was looking for you."Jordan entered.

"Oh..Jordan..are you alright now?"Evelina asked.

"Yeah.. I guess so."Jordan smiled forcefully.

"Well...meet with the 2nd consort. Her name is Martha." Evelina introduced .

"My Prince."Martha bowed her head. She's seeing the Prince from this close ..oh she's totally impressed.... Her heart is beating so fast .

Jordan looked at Martha....

All her hairs stood on as Jordan's gaze fell on her..

"Nice to meet you." Jordan again shifted his gaze towards evelina.

"Actually...I was thinking ,we should have a dinner together. You'll be staying in your residence anyway. Maybe I won't get the chance again in the future. You're leaving the Palace in a few days....So shall we?...." Jordan asked Evelina ignoring Martha.

"Yeah....but you should talk with Martha now. " Evelina was about to refuse to go with him but Jordan cut off her words.

" Oh..... I'll talk with her ....later. NOW COME WITH ME FIRST...." Jordan didn't let her talk anymore .

He quickly held Evelina's hand and dragged her towards his own pavilion.

Martha stood steel there and stared at them....

"Oh....my prince...you should at least talk with her properly. She should have a perfect impression on you...." Evelina said while walking.

"Why? Who the hell is she???!!!"

" She's the girl I choose for you..."Evelina lowered her gaze.

"Yeah...I understood. So this one you've got for me??..... " Jordan turned his head towards the poolside and glanced over Martha for a while.

Martha gave a smile from there.

" But Eve.....I don't like this girl.... she's not my type I guess.. ." Jordan started walking with Evelina.

" What are you saying....this is the most beautiful girl among all the court ladies. You've to accept her no matter what." Evelina got a little bit tense.

" Okay.....okay..... I'll accept her if you kiss me right now." Jordan smiled.

Evelina stopped walking and looked at Jordan with a confusing look...

" Come on... I'm not asking for lip kiss.... Just kiss on my face as a farewell gift." Jordan tried to handle the situation.

" You know what....."

"What...." Jordan asked with a fear as he thought Evelina got angry.

" You're damn cute....my little sweet candy...." Evelina laughed.

Jordan got a relief after hearing Evelina's normal voice.

"Then kiss me here..." Jordan showed the left corner of face.

Evelina kissed there.

"Again....." Jordan demanded another kiss.

Evelina kissed the right side of his face.

" Again...."

Evelina kissed his forehead. Jordan closed his eyes and tried to feel every touch of her soft lips.

" Once more...." Jordan smiled.

All the guards turned back to avoid them.

"Hay wait.... You're burning up.... YOU'VE A FEVER!!" Evelina sensed the increasing temperature of Jordan's body while kissing.

She again checked his forehead with her hand.

"Oh, It's nothing. I was shocking in in water all day as I forgot to change my wet clothes... Maybe because of this I got sick a little bit. It's not a big deal for me..now let's go..." Jordan said uncomfortably and started dragging her towards the Manor.

Martha saw them from the distance standing in the poolside. She didn't feel jealous seeing them kissing. Or even she became more happy with the thought that the Prince loves his wife this much....then he'll love Martha like this too.

Thinking that how romantic her Prince is, Martha jumped with joy....She happily returned to the harem...
