[Maximum level reached: experience cannot be gained]

[Aura 989/1000]

Sigh...Just a few more, and I would be able to evolve.

The following days after I met the human group were uneventful, which was slightly disappointing.

I was getting used to the thrilling feeling these new experiences provided.

I still wonder if killing that woman would have brought me more ...errr troubles?

Stat point: 1

The only stat that I was able to raise was the INT stat, due to encountering a weird monster.

It was the first monster that actually used the brain it had, it lured me into its trap using a dead monster.

I know, ok! Don't get me wrong, I wasn't tempted by a free meal or anything, ahem.

I wanted to see how the monster died for research purposes. Me eating it would only count as me testing it for my research.

Nonetheless, I got caught in its trap.

Only after I got close enough did I realize that what I was standing on wasn't the floor of the dungeon but something else.

It felt like adhesive, it was pulling me in the more I struggled to set myself free, and before long I saw the monster responsible for the current situation I was in.

A Snail.

Yes, it was exactly a snail, unlike those back in my world, it was enormous, it looked to be smaller than me by a small margin.

But it was still a snail that was as tall as a human. It was taking its time as it moved ever so slowly towards me.

The only thing that stood out was its shell, which looked like it was made with the bones of different monsters.

That can't be it, right?

Shit, I could allow myself to die in the hands of mighty dragons, but never a snail!

Analyze!

[Bone Whelk: Rare rank]

HP- 600 CON-60

DEF- 76 DEC-16

ATK- 20 STR-9

INT- 160 INT- 32

Skills-

Adhesive- The Bone Whelk produces a special liquid adhesive that traps its prey.

Digest - The Bone Whelk produces a liquid that combines with its adhesive, which slowly digests its prey alive.

[Bone Whelks are large shelled slugs that secrete an adhesive to attach skulls, bones, and other detritus to their bodies for protection.]

Oh, hell no, sh*t, I can't allow myself to become snail food.

Wait, why am I even worried? I could kill it as soon as it came close to me. I can figure out a way out of this sticky liquid after I kill that ugly slug.

...

This snail is pissing me off! How long are you going to take to reach here?

It's been almost two hours. And finally, the slug was close enough for me to attack it.

Two long hours!

Instantly, I killed the ugly slug in one hit. I didn't want to look at its smug face for another second.

The combination of amplification and enhancement was too deadly.

[You have defeated Bone Whelk]

[Aura 986/1000]

[Gained 10 INT]

All its innards exploded, covering me in its stinky fluid.

It managed to piss me off even in death.

Soon after its death, as if the sticky liquid had lost its nature, it seeped into the dungeon floor, setting me free.

From then on, I continued my search for monsters, preferably new monsters so that I could gain any extra stats from them.

My right arm has already fully regenerated, and it felt great.

It was uneasy hunting and exploring a place like this dungeon while having only one arm.

Now that I think about it, I forgot to check the contents of the bag taken from the mage a few days ago.

I ripped off a piece of wolf meat, as I plan to head back to my shelter. I kept the bag there since the monster avoided the dragon egg-like plaque.

And I haven't seen humans that deep into the dungeon. Well, I have seen them only once.

Anyway, an hour later, I reached my shelter, and I did my usual climbing as I jumped off from the roof of the dungeon onto the egg.

I picked up the bag and dropped its contents onto the ground.

Thud.

The aura fire plant didn't drop to the ground; it was still floating even when it was taken from its habitat.

And another thing popped out.

A letter.

I immediately recognized what it was. It looked like the scrolls that were used in the games I used to play.

Sigh. I still can't remember my name. What is this dilemma?

{????? ????????}

I am not that smart, but I seriously don't know a single thing written here. Is this the language of this world?

Forget it. I will keep it until I master language comprehension skills. I am pretty sure it would help me understand it.

The thing is...

I have seen that skill for the first time on that mage woman.

If I do chance upon a human wandering around deeper than they should, I will.

Yes, I will kill the human to take it. There is no other option.

I have already learned most of the pathways present in the part of the dungeon I am in; I have already found the way to the 3rd layer a few days ago.

The system already informs me of the structure of the dungeon I am in.

This Great Earth dungeon I am in has multiple levels.

The system only explained about it to me up to the third level. Probably because I found the entry to the third level.

Apparently, the first layer has numerous smaller dungeons on it, and only four dungeons are connected to the second layer.

whereas the third level can be entered as long as I dig deep enough.

It's surprising that beneath me there is another part of the dungeon. I wonder what mysteries and surprises it will hold.

I picked up the aura fire.

[Aura fire detected]

[Consume?]

Yes.

The plant shone brightly as it slowly melted onto my hands.

Ouch! It is hot!

Luckily, it seeped into my arm quickly, if not, I would have dropped it for sure.

[Aura fire consumed]

[Aura level increased]

[Learn Skill: Aura Manipulation]

Aura manipulation: the host gains the ability to manipulate aura. This energy can be manipulated in various ways for a myriad of effects.

JACKPOT!

Finally, I can even further strengthen myself. Hehe, watch out monsters and humans, this demon has only begun his journey.

I used it without wasting time.

Suddenly familiar energy came out of me, covering my right arm like a protective cover.

It was white in colour, but it wasn't transparent, it looked translucent.

System, is the colour of the aura the same for everyone?

[The colour depends on the holder.]

[The darker the color, the higher rank the aura is.]

Welp, I guess mine is pretty low on the table since it is almost transparent.

Doesn't matter. It's time to go hunt some prey with my newfound power!

I went to the path where the hordes of the monster came from, it was from this path that I saw the minotaurs come from.

It is finally time for my revenge. The cow will have to pay for embarrassing me before.

I come across a few different creatures as I move in the general direction I saw the minotaurs come from. A large pack of insects, specifically centipede-like creatures, were congregating around a large corpse of a monster.

The huge monster died to the numbers, even though it was stronger than the centipede.

If I had the help of my own army, wouldn't it be easier?

Instead of standing around, I keep moving.

I cannot fight them. Unless I want to end up like that monster over there,

There are no trees here; the only trees I saw from my time in the dungeon were in the opening where the aura fire was present.

Eventually, I make my way to a part of the dungeon I have not set foot in and start to take things very slowly, darting from cover to cover and avoiding any sound or sign of monsters.

I can see them.

Three minotaurs. They were rare-rank monsters. Killing one will give you five auras; with three, that would be fifteen.

This fight will be my last in the second layer.

Let's GO!
