Inside the king's mansion, five individuals were seated around a round table, discussing a matter of utmost importance. 


"Duke Ifrit, what was so important that you had to call an emergency council at this time? It wasn't for insignificant matters that I travelled from Aerowyn, right?" questioned Duke Dion. 


Duke Deon was the second duke of the empire, a relative of the emperor, and the only duke that represented the royal family. Controlling the three cities of the empire, two of which are the largest in the empire. 


The Brightwing Empire does not have kingdoms, they go by the structure of cities and city lords. In any other empire, a city of the Brightwing Empire would be termed a kingdom, and the city lord, a king. 


However, the present emperor changed all that because he believed that an empire could not have many kings; only one true king was enough.
