While I did acquire skills from defeating the knights, they were useless. It is a complete scam, I even had the dream of acquiring all the skills so that I could be omnipotent. 


But now it is just a dream, and it will always be a dream. There is no need to worry, though, since I can become the greatest mage in the world! 


On the way back, I was caught up in the cores they were giving me and even killed some monsters because of them. 


Even so, it isn't a big deal, because if there is one thing that isn't scarce during the wave, it is monsters. Even now, there are monsters spawning out of nowhere. 


Suddenly, a piercing hiss intrudes on my thoughts. This time it wasn't from monsters around me or humans, but from the ceiling. What the heck is that? My body tenses up suddenly.
