Underestimated

A cool wind wafted through the smouldering academy grounds.

The remains of a building that had been razed to the ground were displaced, and there was a slight movement among the debris as a small hand sprang out, followed by two small children.

One boy and one girl were dressed in commoner clothes that were nearly torn all the way through.

I sighed as I glanced at them. It was not a good time for them to appear.

“Brother! Sister! Uwaaaa! Help!”

“Hic!hic!”

The two kids, who were covered in dust and in shock following the incident, sobbed as soon as they spotted Eliza and Riel.

Their cries soon drowned out the sound of destruction in the academy.

"That's so irritating."

Crux burst out laughing.

And Eliza realized right away what he was about to do.

"Watch out!" she yelled anxiously as she dashed towards the children.

As four long blades of light came into my field of sight, I prepared to evade.

'No, I can't evade these attacks.'
