That's not true

"Oh! You still remember I was so happy back then too.", she said while sighing.

"Yeah.", he nodded while recollecting the memories.

"Everything was fine for me until your brother left us five years ago.", she said while leaning against his shoulder.

"I know.", he nodded.

"Everything changed after that. You became the sole male of our family and had to take care of all of us. You had to work despite being a teenager and had to go away to the city.", she continued while tears fell from her eyes.

"Although it was difficult, we manage to survive it somehow. But this cancer mine is affecting all of us. Now, not only I'm dying slowly, my fate somehow managed to affect our mother and big sister too.", she cried while her eyes turned red.

"That's not true. Their accident was purely coincidental. It has nothing to do with you.", he said while tears were in his eyes.

"They came here to meet me after hearing about my cancer and got into an accident. How can it's not related to me?", she sobbed and said.

"Coincident, totally not related to you.", he argued.

"I'm sure I'm the jinx for our family. I married your brother and he died. You had to go far away to work. I got cancer and our mother and sister had an accident. If I'm not the jinx then who is it? That's why I'm not getting any treatment and I think it's a waste of money too.", she said while blaming herself.

"That's not true and I'll never give up on you.", he grabbed her head, looked into her face, and declared.

"You know, my biggest proof of unluckiness is that I cannot give birth. Do you know what it means to a woman who cannot give birth? It means that she is not a woman but only a junk of flesh. You know how much I love babies right?... that's why I'm not getting any treatment and wish to die in peace.", she poured her heart out and cried.

"What?... Is my destiny playing with me?", he cursed in his mind while thinking about it.

"Giving birth to a baby, is that important for you?", he asked while his mind buzzed and his body shuddered.

"Huh?... Yes, it's important for any woman.", she replied with a puzzled expression because she can see his countenance changing.

"I-If you can give birth to a baby. Will you get treatment?", he asked with a serious face.

"What?... I got checkups from many doctors. It's impossible for me to get pregnant in this life.", she got dumbfounded by his question and said.

"I can guarantee 100% for your pregnancy. How about it then?", he gritted his teeth and asked.

"Are you sure? Is there a way?", she became agitated and asked.

"Yes.", he replied.

"Yes. I'll give it try. I can do anything for it.", she immediately got excited and replied.

"Are you sure?", he asked for confirmation.

"Sure. I've decided.", she resolutely nodded.

"But first, you have to get the treatment for leukemia.", he thought about and tried to deceive.

"Are you joking with me? That's not gonna happen.", she quickly saw through him and denied it.

"What do you want? Don't you want to get pregnant?", he asked with frustration.

"I want to get pregnant first and later treatment.", she bargained.

"What if the baby got complications from it?", he argued back.

"Don't play with me. I want to see the result first. So tell me how it can be done.", she asked.

"Sigh… I'll tell you later.", he sighed and said.

She was already excited so she kept bugging him while he tried to avoid it for some time. She used many tactics but he did the same to agree to the treatment. Both of them argued back and forth but nobody gave in. It lasted a very long time while they kept watching TV in the meantime and argued from time to time. Suddenly, she made a restless face as if she was in pain.

"What happened? Did you feel unwell?", he hurriedly asked while checking her condition.

"Are your sisters not coming back yet?", she asked while feeling impatient.

"I don't think so. Do you want me to call them?", he asked while reaching for his mobile.

"I don't think I can hold on for that long.", she squirmed and said.

"I'll call the ambulance first then.", he was about to dial the numbers.

"Wait! No. Take me to the bathroom.", she waved her hand and asked.

"What?... Why?", he got dumbfounded and asked.

"What are you asking? Why would a person want to go to the bathroom in a hurry? Don't you understand?", she asked while squirming her body further.

"Ah!... Alright.", he quickly picked her up and carried her toward the bathroom. When they headed towards the bathroom both of them had flushed faces and their ears turned red.
