Door To Door

The busy street had become empty with very few people around while most of the cars parked in front of other properties or on the roadside had been much fewer than usual.

It was the least busy time of the day when so many had left their homes and had begun their usual daily activities.

If there was someone still in their home at that time of day then they were either staying home to care for their kids who were not yet old enough to enter kindergarten or school, were on a day off work, or were jobless.

There were some less obvious reasons for some still being in their homes or left wandering the streets during such times but the vast majority of the people who lived there had already left their homes and started their day.

Among those few people who were still in their homes at such a time of day, there was Nicolas who had rarely stepped out of his home ever since he had such a close call with being caught.
