The ordinary world is not what it seems.
Many strange events unfold in the background but go unnoticed by the masses or are covered up.
A supernatural world exists along with the natural world which can only be seen by those called Balancers.
Spirits and Evil Spirits exist along with Balancers who possess unique powers to see and fight them.
Among the many ordinary humans, a girl undergoes a lot of suffering and experiences a prophetic vision.
It grants her knowledge of the hidden world and of some future events.
The girl loses almost everything she has and then takes the steps needed to become a Balance Breaker.
Her past identity has to be abandoned for the sake of survival so she renamed herself Ash.
Ash gains the powers of a Skin-Walker and begins living in such a world taking on the appearances of others, experiencing their lives and living under the mask of another person.

Breaker: From A Nobody To A Villainess

Nicolas could feel himself being freed up with one hand before the girl finished securing his other hand back in place.

He was soon able to figure out that some kind of handcuffs were being used to keep him in place which chaffed against his wrists a little when he was trying to struggle a little earlier.

He regained a little more freedom which allowed him to feel a little more secure.

That was when he heard her voice from his side again as the girl was retreating. "You can have this much freedom so that you can cooperate. We need a little something from you as a means of initiation. Just a little buy-in and a little about yourself. Nod your head if you understand."

The girl had taken out a pen and notepad which was dropped by his side near his free hand before she stepped back. "Use the pen and notepad to talk. If you reach for your mouth then.. hehe."
