The ordinary world is not what it seems.
Many strange events unfold in the background but go unnoticed by the masses or are covered up.
A supernatural world exists along with the natural world which can only be seen by those called Balancers.
Spirits and Evil Spirits exist along with Balancers who possess unique powers to see and fight them.
Among the many ordinary humans, a girl undergoes a lot of suffering and experiences a prophetic vision.
It grants her knowledge of the hidden world and of some future events.
The girl loses almost everything she has and then takes the steps needed to become a Balance Breaker.
Her past identity has to be abandoned for the sake of survival so she renamed herself Ash.
Ash gains the powers of a Skin-Walker and begins living in such a world taking on the appearances of others, experiencing their lives and living under the mask of another person.

Ash had been hesitating and thinking over and over what she wanted to do with Nicolas.

A part of her wanted to put it all behind her and leave it to others to handle.

Another part of her just could not let it go.

She was conflicted on how she would proceed with her next steps before she left yet she could not let go of her curiosity.

What drove him to such cruelty was a question left unanswered.

The sight of the small animal near death before her eyes brought up old feelings that she tried to keep buried.

No matter how much she tried to control herself and treat what was wrong with her, there were just some wounds that would be unable to fully heal.

She could be fine one moment then the next moment, she would be suddenly caught off guard by the slightest thing.

Just when she felt like she had more control, that control started to slip away again.
