The ordinary world is not what it seems.
Many strange events unfold in the background but go unnoticed by the masses or are covered up.
A supernatural world exists along with the natural world which can only be seen by those called Balancers.
Spirits and Evil Spirits exist along with Balancers who possess unique powers to see and fight them.
Among the many ordinary humans, a girl undergoes a lot of suffering and experiences a prophetic vision.
It grants her knowledge of the hidden world and of some future events.
The girl loses almost everything she has and then takes the steps needed to become a Balance Breaker.
Her past identity has to be abandoned for the sake of survival so she renamed herself Ash.
Ash gains the powers of a Skin-Walker and begins living in such a world taking on the appearances of others, experiencing their lives and living under the mask of another person.

Ash made a couple more trips out to meet Max and fought with him more often as she had to get used to unarmed combat out in the open.

There were no rules involved besides not taking things too far and hitting others when they could no longer fight back.

The rest was left to how others were able to dominate their opponent and were willing to give them some room to recover.

If someone was too into the fight then their opponent could get heavily injured and would have to go to the hospital.

There was no killing and no inflicting heavy bodily harm involved in what they were doing and anyone who took things too far would be kicked out of being able to participate in such activities.

There would occasionally be some troublemakers who would join for the sake of brutalizing their opponents but they would not be accepted by those who ran the fights.

If things were taken too far then there was more of a chance of there being an accident.
