The ordinary world is not what it seems.
Many strange events unfold in the background but go unnoticed by the masses or are covered up.
A supernatural world exists along with the natural world which can only be seen by those called Balancers.
Spirits and Evil Spirits exist along with Balancers who possess unique powers to see and fight them.
Among the many ordinary humans, a girl undergoes a lot of suffering and experiences a prophetic vision.
It grants her knowledge of the hidden world and of some future events.
The girl loses almost everything she has and then takes the steps needed to become a Balance Breaker.
Her past identity has to be abandoned for the sake of survival so she renamed herself Ash.
Ash gains the powers of a Skin-Walker and begins living in such a world taking on the appearances of others, experiencing their lives and living under the mask of another person.

Since he felt like Max had tricked him and prevented him from getting close to Ash who could prove useful to him in the future, he did not feel like Max had done enough to pay him off.

He already had in mind some things that he would have Max do so that he could be properly repaid.

It was made even more like that when he continued to watch the fight with Ash who was fighting against her opponent.

Even he could see that Ash had some potential.

She may not have been a popular fighter that could entertain a crowd but she had the potential to rise in a more stable manner than others.

If he could see it then others would be able to see it too.

Ash was the type of fighter who was more careful in fights and not as reckless as most others.
