The ordinary world is not what it seems.
Many strange events unfold in the background but go unnoticed by the masses or are covered up.
A supernatural world exists along with the natural world which can only be seen by those called Balancers.
Spirits and Evil Spirits exist along with Balancers who possess unique powers to see and fight them.
Among the many ordinary humans, a girl undergoes a lot of suffering and experiences a prophetic vision.
It grants her knowledge of the hidden world and of some future events.
The girl loses almost everything she has and then takes the steps needed to become a Balance Breaker.
Her past identity has to be abandoned for the sake of survival so she renamed herself Ash.
Ash gains the powers of a Skin-Walker and begins living in such a world taking on the appearances of others, experiencing their lives and living under the mask of another person.

Memories of her past returned in that instant when she was cornered by the staff of the Mental Institution.

Their towering forms blocked off her path to escape and closed in on her before leaving her with only feelings of acceptance and despair.

She was forced to accept her situation each time since there was nothing she could do about it back then.

The present situation made her feel like she had been forced into a similar situation but then her mind recalled everything she had learned when identifying the root cause of her anxiety. 'This is not the same as back then.'
