The ordinary world is not what it seems.
Many strange events unfold in the background but go unnoticed by the masses or are covered up.
A supernatural world exists along with the natural world which can only be seen by those called Balancers.
Spirits and Evil Spirits exist along with Balancers who possess unique powers to see and fight them.
Among the many ordinary humans, a girl undergoes a lot of suffering and experiences a prophetic vision.
It grants her knowledge of the hidden world and of some future events.
The girl loses almost everything she has and then takes the steps needed to become a Balance Breaker.
Her past identity has to be abandoned for the sake of survival so she renamed herself Ash.
Ash gains the powers of a Skin-Walker and begins living in such a world taking on the appearances of others, experiencing their lives and living under the mask of another person.

Breaker: From A Nobody To A Villainess

Not only that but she could not gain Life Energy from those she killed there since she could not take the time to activate her chant and hand signs.

Even if she was able to complete her chant in the middle of a fight or toward the end of it, doing that in front of a live audience would not go unnoticed.

It was a dangerous action to take since it risked exposing the existence of Balancers which was taboo in the world of Balancers.

Not only was it dangerous in that way but there was always a risk of there being a Watcher or Balancer among the staff or the audience that could identify her as being one of them.

If she was seen abusing her powers against ordinary humans while risking exposing her abilities too then that was asking for a lot of trouble.
