The ordinary world is not what it seems.
Many strange events unfold in the background but go unnoticed by the masses or are covered up.
A supernatural world exists along with the natural world which can only be seen by those called Balancers.
Spirits and Evil Spirits exist along with Balancers who possess unique powers to see and fight them.
Among the many ordinary humans, a girl undergoes a lot of suffering and experiences a prophetic vision.
It grants her knowledge of the hidden world and of some future events.
The girl loses almost everything she has and then takes the steps needed to become a Balance Breaker.
Her past identity has to be abandoned for the sake of survival so she renamed herself Ash.
Ash gains the powers of a Skin-Walker and begins living in such a world taking on the appearances of others, experiencing their lives and living under the mask of another person.

Not only would it take a lot of her time to do that but depending on the place she visited, she would be expected to purchase something while she was there too so it was quite inconvenient for her in many ways.

It was better to spend a little extra money and take a single trip than to have to keep making several trips while making multiple purchases over time even if she was buying some cheap things.

Ash continued walking back the way she came since she was dropped off at the same location where she was picked up previously.

The route back was not too bad for her but it did take some time to get back to her home.

She may have been dropped off and the van may have already departed along with Ross but it was still unknown if there was anyone else assigned to keep a close watch over her.

Just to make sure that she was not being followed on her way back, she took a couple of detours down less populated areas away from her original route.
