"There it is…"
I mumbled, and Aunt Linda turned towards where my eyes were staring. Nico noticed the change in the air, and he quickly lifted his hand up.
"It's cold."
He said, and I can't help but agree. Far in front of us, a single movement can be seen approaching us. The being looked about five meters tall, and its entire body was slowly being lit by the afternoon sunlight from the entrance behind us.
Once it was fully visible, both me and Aunt Linda could see it clearly. It's a demon that is made of ice, and its entire body is genuinely made of large ice pieces. It has two pairs of horns at the top of its head, and the body has many ice spikes growing from the limbs.
Seeing the demon, Aunt Linda turned very shocked.
'That is a D class demon!! What is it doing in a place like this?'
Aunt Linda loudly said, and I turned to her quite confused.
"Is this demon dangerous?"
'Very. It can kill you easily. I suggest not facing this demon and simply stay back… I can fight it.'
Aunt Linda said as she moved forward, and I can see her spiritual body glowing even brighter. I turned to Nico, and he seemed rather oblivious about what is currently happening.
Aunt Linda was an experienced exorcist during her lifetime. She is a veteran at cleansing demons, even with methods that don't use holy water as the weapon.
And the method she used to cleanse demons… was by using her soul.
Her spiritual body glows brighter, and I can see changes beginning to occur in the air surrounding her. The wind began to breeze heavily, and dust on the floor can be seen swirling surrounding her. Even Nico noticed the changes occurring around Aunt Linda, and he too understood that Aunt Linda is doing something.
She is powering up, getting ready for a brawl with the demon.
'For now… stand back while I face this demon. It's best if you don't get hurt--'
SPRRT!!!
I didn't even wait for her to start attacking, and I already fired my water gun forward. The water flew at high speed towards the ice demon, and it finally landed on the chest of the demon.
'RRAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!'
The water demon screamed when a hole formed on its chest. The hole was created when the holy water landed on its chest, and it pierced through the hole as well as melting the surrounding area where it touches. Thanks to the holy water, a pretty wide hole is now formed on the ice demon's chest.
Seeing the ice demon getting damaged so easily made Aunt Linda so surprised. She turned to me, and I only held the gun upwards.
"Looks rather weak to me, though?"
I said with style, and Aunt Linda laughed loudly.
'Right! We're going to war with those weapons, aren't we?'
I giggled as I turned to Nico, and he turned to me confused.
"Twelve o'clock, maybe ten to fifteen minutes past. Twenty meters away."
Nico heard the direction call and pointed his water gun there. He fired the water gun towards where he thinks is the direction, and it landed exactly on the ice demon's shoulder.
That's perfect. I knew Nico had the best luck in the world.
"That hits. Nice job."
I said, and Nico turned to me rather confused.
"Maybe next time use point zeros to tell how many minutes have passed. Like twelve point fifteen, or ten point thirty."
"But time doesn't work like that…"
"It's for direction calling! It was never about time!"
I grinned and nodded at him, and I pointed my gun back at the ice demon. Aunt Linda said that this demon is a D class demon, which made me curious as to how many classes there are for demons.
This demon seems to be at the level of a boss. But, it is the only one inside this place, so it has no minions. It's just a lonely boss-level demon, at the same level as the smoke demon boss or the black liquid demon boss.
Actually… The black liquid demon boss has got to be at a higher level. If this ice demon is a D class demon, then the black liquid demon has to be in a higher class. But… What class was it?
I decided to keep the questions for later, because the ice demon has already regenerated the wound on both its chest and shoulder. The hole on its chest is already recovered with ice, and so has its shoulder.
Looking at how quick it can regenerate the wound, I guessed that the only way to take it down is by repeatedly showering it with holy water. That way, it won't be able to regenerate quick enough.
"Keep firing that way."
I said to Nico, and he nodded. He and I continuously fired the water gun towards the ice demon, and many holes were formed from the demon's body.
After many shots, the demon lost most of its body. It fell to the ground after losing both legs, and it's crawling on the ground. I fired to the ground where the demon is crawling, and Nico noticed the direction of where I'm shooting, so he too fired lower.
The demon's body was completely eradicated, leaving only the face left. I fired the finishing shot, and the demon's head melted to the floor. Seeing that the demon is now gone, I lowered the water gun.
"Okay, stop now. It's dead."
I said, and Nico also lowered his water gun. Next to me, Aunt Linda simply watches the whole thing in awe. A demon she thought was so dangerous was killed so effortlessly by the holy water-filled water guns.
I turned to her with a grin, and lifted the gun to boast.
"How was that? Better than any exorcism you've ever seen, right?"
'It's very different… certainly much faster and safer, but… wasn't holy water expensive?'
Hearing that question, I turned to Nico. He was still staring at me, waiting for the next command. And seeing his confused face, I began to realize many things.
These holy waters… how exactly does Nico get his hands on them? It always seemed like he had an infinite amount of them, and it should've been impossible unless he had a ton of money.
Aside from that, there's also these water guns. These are genuine water guns, though they may be colored like a toy, these things fire like a real gun. It's a military grade toy water gun, the quality of this thing is no joke. Certainly, these things are expensive as heck.
Then, I recalled how Nico always had a ton of money with him. Otherwise, he wouldn't be paying for those times we went on a date at the mall.
Gathering the pieces together, it seemed very clear to me as to how Nico was able to do all these things.
He is… probably insanely rich.
"Well, all of these things were sourced from that guy. And he is insanely rich, so…"
I said to Aunt Linda, but Nico tilted his head from confusion.
"What do you mean insanely rich?"
"I mean, how else would you be able to buy these holy water? Weren't they expensive?"
"Well.…I figured it's money-worth spending, so…"
I turned away from him and faced Aunt Linda, who was already shaking her head.
"He is very rich."
"Hey! I only bought them since we needed them!"
Aunt Linda and I giggled a little bit at that reaction. Nico looked like he wanted to complain some more, but I lifted my hand to stop him.
"Okay, okay. The demon is dead now, so we should get going."
I said to Nico, and he only grumbled as he took the weapon from my hand. He placed the long water guns on his bag, with half of them popping out of the bag since it was too long for it to fit. I went for my bag and took out my phone to order an online cab back.
"You're going to Aunt Linda's place, I assume?"
Nico asked, and I nodded.
Funny how perceptive he is, sometimes. He knows that I will have to bring Aunt Linda back home, since I do have to return her to her family.
"Yeah. She can't return on her own, so…"
"Oh. You have to tell me about a spirit's living mechanics!"
"Living Mechanics…? What is this, a video game?"
Nico giggled hearing the joke, but Aunt Linda looked so hurt by the joke.
'Is my after-life just a game to him…?'
"He is just curious about how spirits function, that's all."
I answered Aunt Linda's annoyed question, and Nico looked like he was about to ask. I explained to him while ordering an online cab to Aunt Linda's home, and he looked happy hearing Aunt Linda's annoyance.
We chatted about how spirits work while waiting for the cab to arrive, and Nico's drive arrived first. He bade farewell before going to his car, and he left not long after.
I took Aunt Linda to her home, but I didn't go home right away. I hung out with Uncle Deve for a while, talking about my experience with Aunt Linda. He was so shocked by my method of bullying the bullies that he looked so dead inside. Both Aunt Linda and I can only watch as his face gradually turns whiter and whiter as I told him the story. It was quite funny seeing an expert exorcist hearing such a cruel bullying story.
He was worried if the girls might call the police on me, but I had prepared many reasons in case they decided to report me. After all, they were the ones who messed with me first. I know exactly how to counter attack if they were to do that.
After talking for a while, I returned home. Once again, to a very worried mother.
"I heard there was a ghost sighting in school today… the parents from your class were talking about it a lot on the group chat."
Mom said to me as soon as I got home, and I immediately understood the situation.
Our class has this group chat that is specifically for parents and the homeroom teacher. Every single parent was forced to join and be told of anything special that has occurred in the class. Usually, the chat won't be used if there's nothing too important to talk about. But, it looks like the chat has been active once more.
"They said that twelve girls from class A were possessed in the bathroom of the first year. Did you go to the bathroom earlier?"
Mom asked me, and a grin formed on my face as I told her.
"What if I told you… that I was the culprit?"
She looked very surprised hearing that, but slowly she understood what I'm trying to say.
To my surprise, though…
She doesn't look… quite happy.
