Enemies (part 2)

They gave us some more 'FUN' words of stiff advices to help us become friends with one another, and we had to sit through to listen for the next three minutes. Once they were done talking, Alica and I were allowed to leave.

I walked out of the teacher's room followed by Alica. As soon as we were outside, I turned to her and tilted my head, telling her to follow me.

We walked to the end of the hallway, not far from the canteen. It's in the morning, so not many people are in the canteen right now. Only the shop owners are around, so no one from the school will hear us talk.

"Allow me to say this. Don't think you are safe as long as you're around Nico."

I said to her as soon as we arrived, and she looked rather pained hearing that. She knows that she has been rendered powerless since the teachers won't be doing anything, and since I can control ghosts to my wishes, she is afraid of the possible harm I could've done to her.

"I wasn't the one who reported you… The girls from my class did. And when they needed someone to speak on their behalf… they went to me."

"I don't care. You are their leader, in the first place. Maybe choose a better henchman, next time. It can avoid you from being punished like this, you know?"

I said with a smile, but Alica seemed to be very sure that she was innocent.

"I didn't throw the scissors to you. I never thought that you'd be hurt like that…"

"Even if I didn't get hurt, I still would've done the same thing to you. In case you haven't noticed, this wound was actually intentionally made."

I said while lifting my forehead, and Alica stared at me with shock.

"I could've dodged the scissors. I could've pushed all the girls right away, beat them up quickly, and then gone to Nico to stop the confession. But, I didn't, and I let the scissors wound me. I even let the bucket wash my whole body. Why did you think I let all that happen, even though I could've avoided being hurt?

It was to punish you afterwards. You sent many of your girls to face the lonely me, and I know I wouldn't win the teacher's heart since you all came from class A. Even if I win the physical fight, you still have more voice since there are more of you, and the teachers will just side with you more.

Still don't get it? From the moment you called me to that bathroom, you were already lost. And for messing with me, you will lose even more…"

Alica looked widely horrified at my explanation, and I had to make it obvious to her. From the very beginning, when she called me to the bathroom bringing those girls with her, she already lost.

Talking to Emil, making a deal with Peach, coming to the bathroom alone, and even allowing the scissors to land on my forehead. Everything was within my control, all the way until the very end. What's not in my control was Nico's decision when he rejected Alica, and even that I also won.

From the very beginning, I already won. Always.

Hearing that I am not done with her, Alica looked petrified. She knew that if I kept on going, I could turn her insane if I wanted to. And I will be doing just that, to further show everyone to not mess with me.

"Why are you doing this…? You've won, already. You have Nico."

Alica turned her angered gaze away, remembering about what went on that day. How Nico blatantly rejected her, and then turned to me to confess. Not only did he reject her, he also went and confessed his feelings to another girl. What happened was truly a cannon to her heart.

But… that was Nico's doing.

That was never part of my actions.

"Are you kidding me…?"

I moved forward and forcefully grabbed her tie with power, then I pulled her face closer to mine. With widely opened mad eyes, I talked face to face with her frightened eyes.

"You think Nico was a part of all this…? You picked a fight with me, and you attacked first. It's only natural that we are both enemies from now on, so don't be surprised if you get hurt back. I'm not done with you so I can show the whole world what it means to mess with me. Prepare to suffer, bitch."

I spoke coldly right on her face, and I pushed her forward once I was done. Alica fell on her butt, and I placed my hands on my pockets as I stared down at her.

"Don't be so surprised. I have always disliked you when I first saw you. I knew you were the type guys always fell in love to, and I can't explain to you how much dislikeable you really are…

Even now, I'm sure you are already losing a little bit of your people~…"

I said with a mad grin, and she cannot look more despaired realizing something.

What happened to her and her friends was her fault. She told her friends to come with her into that death valley of a bathroom, and everyone got traumatized badly. Even back on Friday, plenty of her friends got beaten up by me inside the bathroom. Everything that happened to her friends was because of her.

So… who's to say that those girls will still follow her after what happened?

I lifted my hand at her to bid farewell, and I began walking away.

"Come to me if you want to confess your sins… I always welcome forgiveness~."

I said as I walked away, leaving Alica on the floor doing nothing but regretting her actions.

Not only did she lose the war for Nico, she also had to pay the price for messing with me. It's like I'm kicking her when she's already down. However, she deserves it fully, even when the one who threw the scissors to my face wasn't her.

Let this be a warning to anyone… who wishes for my downfall.

I will no longer be your good girl that can only see ghosts.

.

The first lesson started as soon as I arrived in class, and I was surprised with a test.

I forgot that this is actually an exam week, so I ended up completely forgetting about studying. As a result, I blundered badly.

I think my scores this exam week are going to be at the clear bottom… Compared to others who are trying their best, I just didn't even bother opening a single book.

Well, there has to be a price for everything. Dating Nico and winning the war against the class A girls is more important than any of these tests.

The first lesson ended, and everyone shared their thoughts to one another. Emil is especially the favorite when it comes to history lessons, so everyone went to her to confirm their answers. She was quite crowded by all kinds of students, boys and girls, all wanting to hear what her answers were.

To my surprise, someone actually walked up to me.

"You didn't do well?"

I turned up to Peach, and it looks like she came with an intention. She must've noticed the annoyed expression on my face, and I just rubbed the back of my head. I do feel a little headache, so this action is genuine.

"Yeah… I never study. Don't be surprised if my scores were quite low later on."

"Noted. I heard you were called to the homeroom teacher's office with Alica."

"Yeah… that. Someone reported me to the teachers."

"What do you expect? What you did was quite nasty."

"Haha! Truee~. I'm good, though. So, you don't need to worry about me getting expelled."

I said to her with a cold grin, and she looked very confused at how I'm acting. Am I acting differently towards her?

"You… never stood out in junior high. You never even have any friends, back then. How come you're so different, now?"

Peach asked me the sudden question, and I opened my eyes wide at how thoughtful she is being. The grin on my face disappeared, replaced by a simple blank expression.

"I'm… surprised you cared that much. I didn't know you were such a caring person towards me."

I meant that sarcastically, and it looks like Peach understood it because she continued.

"You were always so timid, and you always accepted willingly whenever somebody wronged you. You never stood up to bullying, you never even complained when a classmate gave you a harder task. How the hell do you change so much in just a few months?"

She asked after widely describing my behavior in junior high, but she was wrong about one thing.

"A few months…? It only took me a week to change, Peach.

And if you ask me why… Don't you think you are the one who should know the answer?"

I countered her question with another, and she looked widely surprised. She knew the answer, yet she acted dumb and asked me instead.

I stood up from my chair, and I patted her in the shoulder. I stared at her coldly, and she could only look at me with a surprised face.

"What I did to Alica… can always happen to you at any time. Don't forget what our relationship truly is.

You were the cause of this change. Wake up, idiot."

I said to her coldly, and she looked even more shocked hearing the taunt. She slapped my hand away from her shoulder, and she turned her back on me.

"How scary. Don't forget to always keep your promise to stay away from Emil. If you do that, then I will continue to leave you be."

She is… purposely distancing herself. It's clear as day that she is afraid, that's why she moved away from me.

"… Pussy."

She didn't care about my taunting and began walking away, leaving me alone by my desk.

Well, anyone would be afraid of me after they heard what I am capable of. It's very normal for Peach to distance herself from me after knowing what happened to Alica.

Should I… ignore her warning and befriend Emil again?

Nah… I agreed to that deal for Emil's own good, anyway. Nico might be fine, but Emil is just a no go for me.

By the way, it's time to go see Nico.

I promised Nico that I will be joining him in the canteen starting today. With me getting an exorcism job and all, I should be okay if I buy lunch at the canteen starting from now on. Previously, I brought homemade lunch boxes which were cooked by Mom. But, to ease her burdens of preparing food so early in the morning, I will start buying lunch at the canteen.

Also, yeah. It's a good chance for me to be with Nico.

Definitely not the main reason as to why I'm buying lunch at the canteen.

Totally doing it for Mom, and not to see the handsome boy every single lunch break.

Yeah. Yeah, absolutely.

God damn it, why am I such a sucker for his face…?
