Yuna's POV
As I looked out the window of air craft, I couldn't believe my eyes. Here I was, in the year 2620 where technology made it possible to break the filter that is stopping the humans before from crossing another universe, and I was part of the Team S-38, one of the many spacecraft teams now in and studying the newly discovered planet that is awfully similar to Earth but also five times bigger and can also be inhabited by people in another universe, EVChron-12231b also known as ETERNOS.
The planet was unlike anything we had ever seen before. It was covered in a dense layer of fog, and the sky was a deep shade of purple and blue. We had been studying it for months now, camping in a very little and uncivilized part of land of this planet, trying to gather as much data as possible before we had to leave and return to Earth.
As a member of the space rover team S-38, my job was to help collect samples of the planet's atmosphere and terrain. It was a daunting task especially because our team's commander is none other than my father, Commander Lenard Sinclair, but one that I relished. I had always been fascinated by space and the mysteries it held since I was a kid, also because I was influenced by my astronaut father.
My team consisted of six members, all of whom were experts in their respective fields. There was the lead researcher, Dr. Leo Matthews, who was in charge of analyzing the data we collected. Then there was Dr. Maggie Poleon , a biologist who was interested in studying any potential life forms on the planet.
We also had two engineers on board, John and Alice, who were responsible for maintaining and repairing the air craft, Caden Auffray an astronomer aka my partner in studying outside the scope of Earth. Finally, there was me, the youngest member of the team. I was an astrophysicist, and my job was to help map the planet's terrain and analyze its geological features. Our air craft already entered the said planet.
" Wait what's that? " Alice asked as she pointed at the strange creature in the distance. And there are like hundreds of them. It was unlike anything we had seen before, and we were all curious to investigate it further " I think we should move closer to that direction " Dr. Matthews instructed to my dad who was piloting lowered the air craft
As we got closer, we could see that it was some sort of a moving flying creature with strange markings and scales etched into its surface.
As we approached the object, we could hear a strange noise emanating from it that I can't really describe well. We were all on edge, not knowing what the creature is.
Maggie's mouth agape in both excitement and shock as we all came to realizing what that is. Dragons. We knew we had to get out of here immediately.
We scrambled as we took off, watching in awe as we ascended more and the dragons slowly disappeared from our view.
We knew that our mission was far from over. There were still so many mysteries to uncover on this strange new planet. But for now, we had to return to Earth and share our findings with the rest of the scientific community.
As I sat inside the aircraft, reflecting on our mission, I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and awe. We had just scratched the surface of what lay beyond our own solar system, and I was excited to see what other discoveries awaited us in the vast expanse.

They landed on the parking pods they set up for all the space crafts as they got out one by one greeted by the people in the camp who are apart of the other 9 teams. " How many teams are present and have returned to the camp now? " You heard your father ask to Don, his good friend and also the Commander of Team S-35. " Team S-31, S-32, S-34, S-38, and S-40 are all the teams that departed today and as of now all already arrived except S-32 and S-40. We currently only have 8 teams present for now. "
Your father nodded as they walked away towards other commanders to continue their discussions.
Yuna sat with her team inside their laboratory tent, their faces glowing in the dim light of the lanterns hanging from the ceiling. The dawn was cold on the planet of EVChron-12231b, but the excitement in the room kept everyone warm.
"I can't believe it," Yuna said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Dragons, living and breathing on a planet we never knew existed until now. It's like something out of a fairy tale."
Her team members nodded in agreement, their eyes wide with wonder.
"I still can't believe we actually found them," said Leo, one of Yuna's colleagues. "I mean, we've been studying this planet for months, and we never even suspected that there could be such amazing creatures living here."
Yuna smiled. "That's the thing about the universe, Leo. It's always full of surprises."
The team sat in silence for a few moments, each lost in their own thoughts. Yuna's mind raced with questions, wondering how the dragons had survived on this planet for so long without anyone noticing them before. She imagined them soaring through the sky, their scales glistening in the sun.
"Hey, Yuna," said Alice "You're the astrophysicist. Do you think there could be other creatures out there, just waiting to be discovered?"
Yuna's eyes lit up. "Absolutely. There are billions of planets out there, and we've only scratched the surface of what's possible. Who knows what else we might find?"
As the team continued to discuss their discovery, they began to prepare dinner. The aroma of roasted meat filled the air, and Yuna's stomach growled in anticipation. They ate their snacks together, sharing stories and theories about the dragons they had discovered.
After those chatting, they all sat around the campfire for their communal dinner together with the other teams, their eyes fixed on the stars above. Yuna couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder as she gazed up at the night sky, imagining the countless possibilities of what lay beyond.
As the night wore on, the team began to drift off to sleep, exhausted from a day of excitement and discovery. Yuna stayed up a little longer, lost in thought as she watched the flickering flames of the campfire. She knew that tomorrow would bring new challenges and new discoveries, and she was ready to face them head-on.
As she finally made her way to bed, Yuna couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to explore the universe and all its mysteries. She drifted off to sleep with a smile on her face, dreaming of the dragons she had discovered and all the adventures that lay ahead.
