Good Byes

Morning sweetie, did you get a good night's rest?" Mom asked

"Not at all, I stayed up determining what all to bring to earth. It was hard but it's over now." I said

"You didn't need to do that," Mom said

"I know I could have packed it centuries ago but you know as well as me I like to wait till the last minute," I said teasingly

"I don't think you understand honey, you're not required to take anything along with you," Mom said

Did I hear her correctly?

"After all, everything you'll need is going to be provided by Madison. I thought you knew this already. Though I should have checked with you to be sure." Mom said

"THAT WOULD HAVE SAVED ME GETTING SLEEP MOM!!!" I yelled

"Is someone angry breakfast isn't done?" Dad asked

"No Dad, don't worry about it," I said

"We're leaving now so tell Dad and Cerberus goodbye," Mom said

"Just like that? I'm not going to see you for a whole year guys." I said teary-eyed

"It'll go by fast but maybe if it was a century you were leaving us…." Dad said

"You're such a devil Dad," I said

"Correction, you mean the devil. Now come here and hug me and give Cerebus a belly rub before you go." Dad said

I went over and hugged Dad. Then I told my loyal dog goodbye and to take care of Mom and Dad for me. It's funny to think of these new changes that are going to happen to me just so I can make more changes when I come back home.
