Plans Change With Priorities

How am I going to let Luna down? Luna had planned a surprise for us tonight and I had happily accepted but now I'm going to have to decline. My father decided to make plans without letting me know till twenty minutes ago. My dad's boss is coming over for dinner and bringing along his family. I already asked if I could get out of it and that was a mistake. Dad threatened to fire me from work if I skipped out on this.

I'm not sure how dad has a boss when he's the boss? I guess this guy is like the chief of all of the bosses or something. Anyways I have to get dressed up to make a good impression. Though I don't want to be overdressed then I'll look like I tried too hard on my outfit. I don't want to but I'm going to have to ask Bella for some fashion advice.

I walked to Bella's room and she had on a lavish pink dress. Oh my gosh what am I in for?

"What do you want, Lucas?" she questioned

"I want help. I don't know what to wear for dinner." I declared

"Well clearly." she smirked

"Never mind, I'll just guess since all you want to do is laugh." I said

"Hey, I didn't mean it. Now show me what you are thinking of wearing. You need to be suitable for tonight to make a good impression, Lucas." she noted

We headed to my room and I showed her what I had laid out on my bed.

"No offense but none of these are going to work." she commented

"Okay, then show me which one will." I pleaded

Bella picked out a dress shirt and stole my tie from my tux. Then she grabbed my black pair of jeans.

"How did you pick this out so quickly?" I questioned

"With lots of practice. Now hurry up and get dressed. You're still going to have to do something with your hair." she stated

"What's wrong with my hair?" I asked

"Uhh boys will never understand." she said

Then she walked out. Guess I need to call Luna now and let her know. Though I really don't want to. Oh I know I'll invite her. She will be my guest.
