Thunder Temple (6)

After putting these artifacts on I continued and made my way to the second place. The place that I had even more interest in seeing. This place is at the very top of this Thunder Temple. In the highest indoor position. It was a room with a roof made of pale blue and slightly translucent jade. It was a pretty sight indeed. The moon light shined through the jade. Bringing out the beauty of the room in a whole new way.

In the center of the room there were many thunder spirits floating around. There seemed to be some wind spirits to go along with them. My observation of this was that they seemed to be playing with each other. I found it cute for some reason. Maybe it was just that it was funny how the spirits interacted with each other.

After a brief moment the spirits stopped playing and looked at me. They seemed curious to see me standing there. As if I was an interesting thing and perhaps another player for a game of tag. Just as one of them was about to come close to me, a larger Thunder spirit appeared and. This one was clearly a more powerful one. It also seemed to possess intelligence, and might be able to communicate.

"Boy… Is… master… new?" The spirit managed to get out, typing to converse with me.

"That's right, I have accepted the inheritance left behind by Fang Qing, the Sky Queen. She has entrusted this Thunder Temple to my care." I said, solemnly.

"New master, we Thunder and Wind Spirits are yours to command. Apologies for the younger ones speech troubles. They were only curious about you." Another Thunder Spirit said.

"Oh it's fine, I thought it was cute. Perhaps, that's why senior Fang Qing wanted to take care of you like this. She also found you cute and adorable." I said, patting the first spirit on the head.

"Wait! You can touch us!? That's highly dangerous. You should be more careful, young master." The older Thunder Spirit said whooshing in closer.

"Oh it's fine. I have the Lightning True Body. Even my tribulations hardly do anything but strengthen my body. A cute little spirit like this isn't going to hurt me in the slightest. Rather it might actually have benefits for the both of us." I said, now hugging and nuzzling the thunder spirit, while smiling.

"Truly! If what the Young Master says is right then it would make sense why the late Master allowed you to inherit this Thunder Temple. My name is Shandain, would it… be okay… if…" Shandain the thunder spirit said.

I knew what it was that the spirit wanted. It was clear given how much the one I had been happily nuzzling loved the nuzzles. So I stopped and hugged Shandain, quickly. Not leaving a chance for confusion to occur. I could feel the sense of sorrow coming from Shandain.

"Senior Fang Qing must have done this for you as well. You've done well in her absence. I'll take care of you now." I said.

"Yes, the master was really kind. We loved her dearly. It was unfortunate that she passed away. She was the only one to treat us nicely." Shandain cried.

"I see, so did senior Fang Qing have a Lightning True Body as well? Or… was it perhaps something else?" I asked.

Shandain calmed down and relaxed as if preparing to say something difficult, important or both. "The Master? No, she had a Supremacy Sparked Knowledge Sea. With it she was able to avoid much of the damage from Lighting Qi. However, she told us to be prepared for the day when she could no longer do this." Shandain said.

"I see, do you happen to know how she acquired this Supremacy Sparked Knowledge Sea? If it's still possible I'd like to get one myself. It sounds like it could prove to be quite beneficial for my continued growth." I said. "It certainly would make dealing with that… a fair bit easier." I added softly, accidentally thinking aloud.

"It is simple to acquire one. Well, it is if you know how and have the means. You have both of these things right now." Shandain mentioned, holding up a bolt from a small thunder cloud. This was meant to be like a person holding their finger like they just had an excellent idea.

Shandain clapped, and a burst of commanding Lightning Qi radiated outwards. It was clear that the Thunder and Wind Spirits Knew what this was because they all stopped playing and grouped up. It was clear to me that they were certainly preparing for something interesting, A ritual or some kind.

"Does the Supremacy Sparked Knowledge Sea have something to do with the Thunder and Wind Spirits here?" I asked, trying to confirm my original notion.

"Yes, we will perform a ritual together. You, Young Master, must refine all of us spirits to make this come true. With our power together it will be more than enough for you to evolve your Knowledge Sea." Shandain said, with an odd amount of pleasantry.

"But if I refine you, Spirits, what would happen to you?" I asked, now a little sad. I had already been thinking of a few things I would be able to have them help me with.

"Don't worry Young Master, this is what we were raised for. Besides we are Spirits. So after you refine our energies we will continue to live inside your Knowledge Sea. Constantly helping the Young Master make improvements and help the Young Master to stabilize his power in the future. Also, You will be able to command and control any Lightning beast that you are stronger than." Shandain said as they floated over to the center of the room.

"I'll hold all of you to this. Senior Fang Qing entrusted me with this place. Naturally that includes you the Thunder and Wind Spirits." I said, also floating to the center of the room.

I floated there in the air to be in the direct center of the room. I closed my eyes and began meditating. The ritual was to begin soon. The Thunder and Wind Spirits began arranging themselves in several layers of spheres ranging out with me as the center.

"Everything is set and in place. Is the Young Master ready?" Shandain asked.

"Yes, I am ready to begin." I said.

"Young master is ready and relaxed. Let us begin." Shandain said, and then clapped once again.
