Tie Up Loose Ends

"Welcome back, Young Master. I take it that these people behind you have come to live here with us?" Huo Dai said walking up happy to see so many people had been saved.

"Yes, I was also able to find some other people who wished to move. So we have a slightly more balanced population now. Are the preparations I asked for complete now?" I asked, while Huo Lei latched on me.

"We have finished all preparations and there are plenty of places built to accommodate the new arrivals. Shall I take them there now?" Huo Dai said, eyeing the men in the group of people that had been brought. She could almost tell right away who would be good matches.

"Please do. And show them around so they get used to the new environment. Remember some of these people are just settlers. They have gone through the same hell that everyone else has." I said, then turned to look at everyone else that I brought with me. "I want you all to be neighborly. This place is a heaven originally made to house those who have been through hell to live in safety. Those of you who have not experienced this should keep this in mind while you live here." I stated.

"Understood, Young Master!" everyone said.

"Young Master, may I ask? Who is this young lady that is clinging to you?" One of the group members asked.

"This is my Fiancé, Huo Lei. You'll do well to remember that." I said, narrowing my eyes at the man who had been eyeing myself and Huo Lei.

"Young Master has such a caring Fiancé. And he has brought so many of us with him to this place in an instant. On top of that he has created such a place. The Young Master is a Dragon amongst men!" The man responded quickly to clear up any confusion. He did not want to be on my bad side. Call it a survival instinct.

Huo Lei stopped nuzzling and let go of me. She stood facing everyone I brought with me. Her stance was imposing and proud. She was clearly getting ready to say something important. "Now you all listen up." She said, crossing her arms. The crowd went dead silent waiting on bated breath for what Huo Lei was about to say next. "My darling isn't just a Dragon among men. He is a dragon!" She said, lifting her index finger. To indicate herself making a point.

"WHAT!" Everyone said in shock.

"Dear, why don't you transform again. They all seem to be shocked at this revelation." Huo Lei said, wrapping her hands around my own.

"After this, Huo Dai should take them to rest. I was hoping to reveal this later after some more time passed. Oh well here goes. Oh, I need to make a quick trip back to Void Temple to inform the Master there of the situation." I said, slightly irritated, knowing that these new arrivals would likely be too terrified to work now.

In another moment I took to the sky and assumed my dragon form. The strength of Dragon pressure filled the air. While Dragon Pressure is strong it does not target anyone without my desire to do so. Hence it is safe.

"You see, isn't my Fiancé amazing! Tehehe." Huo Lei said, giggling at the surprised looks on everyone's faces.

"Alright. I will return shortly. You take care of things here." I said, returning to my human form. I don't want to scare everyone at the Void Temple after all.

I disappeared and made my way to the Void Temple. It wasn't hard for me to gain an audience with a deacon there. After a quick conversation with the Deacon I left everything to him. That said, I did leave a Jade slip with all of the information in the place that Temple Master Miao Fei Ping had set up just for me. Something about him knowing he had practically no control over me, combined with the need to know, led to this method of communicating even while the Temple Master was secluded from the world. This naturally made my trip quite fast. I couldn't spend time at the Temple. I needed to go out and practice my strengths. The best place for me now was the Thunder Typhoon.

"I think I'll bring Huo Lei with me this time. Though she can't really fly on her own yet." I thought to myself.

"Young Master! Give Huo Lei that dress. It will imbue her with some of my powers from when I was alive. With it she should be able to fly." Fang Qing said, quickly peering through to speak to me.

"That's what I'll do then. With that we can go on a date in the sky." I said.

"Young Master, if you do that then you can do it without giving her the dress." Fang Qing said. She started giggling a little.

"Oh and why is that exactly?" I said, hoping that it wasn't for the same reason I could see Fang Qing thinking about.

"Because… She could just ride you the whole time. What do you think of that? Ahahahaha. Hehehe." Fang Qing said, now rolling around laughing incredibly hard.

I simply sighed and ignored Fang Qing for the rest of the day. After all, I've been surrounded by these kinds of people for quite awhile now. So it was only mildly embarrassing. That said… it wasn't like I didn't want to. I am a man after all. I'm basically wired to think like this. So I couldn't even tell if the thought came from her or myself first. I shrugged it off and flew back to my sanctuary.

I took some time to sort through all of the resources that I had been given before. I had to set aside the food as well. Since there were some here who didn't have the ability to ignore the needs of a mortal body. After that was done I got a moment alone with Huo Lei.
