Passing The Torch

"Thank you, but this is only possible due to several factors being put in place. I was quite lucky to have each of them. But if I had to say which of them was the most significant... I'd say it was Leiji. Without him I doubt my Small Universe would have reached this point so soon." Yang Kai said with a glance towards me.

"Father, please, it's not like I did all that much... In all truth, even without my help your cultivation was certain to grow much faster than anyone else. In fact I think many underestimate the flow of time within... That thing on its own should have slashed your rate of accumulation down to a fifth. And given that a genius from the Cave Haven Paradises, the record from 7th to 8th is just over 2000 years, for you the fastest it would be is 400. And that's if you didn't have a population living inside. Which is also another multiple of 2 at a minimum. If it was anything less, it wouldn't be enough of an effect to warrant bringing life forms inside. So 200 years." I explained, slightly embarrassed. "And that's not taking into account the other factors. So even without me, you shouldn't have been much longer than 200 years. You've already been gone long enough for that time to have already passed. Even if you did suffer a major loss before, your constitution is quite resilient, that I'm shocked you didn't promote sooner." I added.

"Yang Kai, what Leiji says is right on the mark. However, I'd like to add that, from what I could tell, the effect his actions had upon the Void world... would have easily made rapid improvements. Especially since he could do, that for you." Smiles stated, matter of factly.

"I see, well, there's no doubt that he had a massive effect on my own cultivation. However, there is something I have to say... I don't feel any chains restricting my advancement now... Is it perhaps that the ones that formed before were somehow destroyed?" Yang Kai asked, with a hand to his chin.

"Indeed, some other power you possess just obliterated the chains like they weren't even there. Which is impressive, usually those chains are quite strong. But I suppose that because they form the moment one reaches their supposed maximum, that they must be considerably weakened in that state." Smiles explained, knowing to be vague in front of the now numerous prying eyes.

"Well, this wasn't the time I desired to break through... but I must return and enter seclusion as soon as possible. Once I consolidate and stabilize my cultivation I'll exit my retreat." Yang kai said with a light sigh, slightly annoyed at the situation he faces.

"Don't worry Husband, I'll watch over him while you go into seclusion. For now it's important not to do more than you can do. So stabilize yourself well." Su Yan spoke in a tender tone, to indicate there is no problem.

"Hmm," Yang Kai sounded out, before turning to the other onlookers. "Since everyone that needs to know about this change is also here, that makes this easy. It is earlier than I expected but I don't think there will be too big of a problem. So listen up, My son, Yang Leiji, will be in charge of making any major final decisions in regards to High Heaven Palace and Void Land, whilst I am in secluded retreat." He announced with a confident composure, and even letting out a little bit of his power, though I could tell that was an accident but it did get the point across.

I quickly appeared before Yang Kai and bowed with my hands cupped. "I Yang Leiji, take this responsibility upon myself, may your retreat be fruitful and free of any worries." I stated with a similar conviction. We did plan for this to happen after all, just, not this fast is all.

"Good, you didn't have much time to get used to the position, however, I know that you will do an excellent job." Yang Kai said with a smile, and looked toward Su Yan. "I believe there is another young lady who has fallen for our son. I'll leave the decision up to all of you. But, I for one, won't accept any arrangements lest I have met the young lady myself. However, if they do grow close I won't separate them. I trust my son's vision, I'd have to be a fool not to." He added, now going beyond the point of struggling. His smile was slowly becoming more and more strained.

"Husband, stop worrying about us so much. You're nearly at the edge. Go and consolidate your new realm. It would be terrible if you suffered a loss after such a massive promotion." Yu Ru Meng hmphed.

"Mother Ru Meng is correct. Father, please enter seclusion and leave everything to me. I will take care of everything, after all, I'll have a lot of help along the way. And once you come out, we will throw a celebration of the rise of the Void Divine Monarch." I said, raising my head to look Yang Kai in the eye.

"Good, then I'll leave everything to you. Don't make too many women fall for you. Remember, your brothers aren't here yet, so don't go overboard alright." Yang Kai said, with just enough force to carry his voice to everyone, he smirked and vanished from sight.

"Well, that's enough of that, if anyone has questions I'll answer them in High Heaven Palace's meeting hall. However, I ask that you wait for a moment." I said, and then a torrent of Time principles and Space Principles swirled in another violent torrent.

"Wow, my nephew is quite good." Yang Xue smiled at the sight.

"Indeed, he is. To think that such a massive flow of energy is this violent, yet we can hardly feel a thing. That takes some serious control. And now, I know exactly why he was able to take his own father through the void... Yikes." Li Wu Yi commented just after.

And then the swirl vanished. "Ah, yeah that feels so much better!" I said, stretching in numerous ways.
