Family Time (2)

With the days turning to weeks and then ultimately ending with a month later. Su Yan, and the other wives that had been in seclusion with Yang Kai, came out of seclusion. Then with a previously agreed upon amount of time, the family spent several days together. This allowed Yang Kai some time to recover his energy. Opting to not exceed his limits too much and then ultimately feel worse off for it. After all, Xia Ning Chang and the others that were going into seclusion with him next, were women he loved as well even if he refused to show it initially. So it stands to reason he'd like to make his lovers feel good while supporting their idea, to do this, he needed some time to recover. 

"Son, it seems like you've grown close with your brothers and sisters." Yang Kai said with a proud fatherly smile. "Especially with her." He mentioned making a motion directing our attention to Yan Xingjuan. 

Now, Yang Xingjuan is a special case. She is already capable of interacting on a heightened mental level. Partly due to her Spirit heritage coming through. But also in part to her knowledge of how much of a part I played that kept her alive. So she likes to show her sisterly affection for me every chance she gets. 

This in turn causes my other siblings to get jealous and jump on me as well. It was so bad now that I had a new nickname. One that Yang Kai managed to hear about from one of the maid servants. The maid servant told Yang Kai about this when Su Yan offered her a reward of anything she wanted… Yes, even that. 

"So, about that name the people seem to have given you… Looks like they were right… You really are always surrounded by your brothers and sisters." Yang Kai chuckled, opting to ignore the nickname as it was one he did not give me. 

"They're adorable. How could I not let them hang around me, their big brother?" I smiled, extremely thankful the nickname didn't come from his mouth. He knew I didn't care much for it either. 

"I love my big brother!" Yang Xingjuan managed to say out loud. Her look was quite intense for a girl only a year old at this point. 

"And what about your father and I?" Su Yan asked, with a big smile. 

Su Yan, the only person able to get Yang Xingjuan to willingly leave her spot clinging onto me… So her response was only normal, Yang Xingjuan jumped off of my head, turning into phoenix form and flew over to Su Yan, where she returned to human form and hugged her mother. 

"I love you too, mother!" Yang Xingjuan said, nuzzling into Su Yan's bosom. "Oh, and I love my other mothers and my father too! And my brothers and my sisters!" She added, almost forgetting to continue her sentence as the smell and embrace of her mother was comforting to the highest degree. 

"Pfft, seems like when in Big Sister's arms little Xingjuan loses all sense of the rest of the world." Qiu Ye Meng said as she couldn't help but giggle at the smilingly happy little girl. 

"She's not the only one who does this." Su Yan giggled a little in response, then looked at me with a warm smirk then back down to Yang Xingjuan. "Guess what little Xingjuan." She said, cozying up to Yang Kai again. 

"Hmm? What is it mommy?" Yang Xingjuan asked, poking her head up showing her curious eyes. 

"Mommy has another baby, so you're going to be a big sister soon!" Su Yan answered with a big smile. 

Yang Xingjuan's face was absolutely priceless at this revelation. She had long been wondering what her mother and father were doing while away for so long. But now, at the realization that she was going to be a big sister, well, I'd challenge you to find a happier look. 

Of course this prompted the other children who could comprehend the meaning behind such an event to have a similar reaction. However, they were less happy about it until their mothers nodded saying they were also expecting. The mothers who were currently still waiting their turn, once they got the same look simply smiled and gave Yang Kai that look. This prompted the children to stare at Yang Kai, their father with an intense curiosity. 

"That means I'm going to be like Big brother! But cuter, right?" Yang Xingjuan cheerfully asked. Her sudden and abrupt question relaxed the tension on Yang Kai. 

"Little Xingjuan, don't you know, you're already cuter than your big brother." Yang Kai chuckled, saying as much in an effort to thank her for the sudden interaction. "Now then, today is the last day before I return to seclusion, this time with Xia Ning Chang and everyone who waited out last time. Once, we're all out here again… All of you will be older siblings both from my side, and your mothers'." He smiled, patting a few of his other children's heads. 

"Father, how are babies made?" One of my other little sisters asked, with an innocently curious look in her eyes. 

"Yeah, how are babies made?" One of my little brothers asked, with a similar curiosity. 

It was then that Yang Kai almost cursed himself that his children were so smart. And then he had a good idea for him, and a terrible idea for me. I got the sense right away I was about to deal with another one of Yang Kai's messes.

Calmly, Yang Kai teleported the two children onto my lap. "Why don't you ask your big brother? I'm sure he would be more than willing to explain it to you. After all he's wanted some of his own for quite awhile." He chuckled. And then he along with the wives who's turn it was. 

"I'm going to get him back for this one." I muttered with an annoyed smile. 

"Big brother? What would your babies be to us?" Yang Xingjuan asked, adding to the already impossible list of questions… Though thankfully this was an easy one to answer. And one, that was answered by someone else. 

"You'd be what I am to you. An aunt." Yang Xue answered, feeding her own child at the moment, surprising the women present, knowing that they had recently lost that ability, at least before they came out of seclusion. And there was a silent approving nod between all of the women there.
