The End?

The fight was all but certain to end in my failure. Ink had really pulled himself together, he was also far more resilient to my Lightning than the other Ink Clan were. Even so, there was one weapon I had yet to use, after that, the only chance would be to reseal him and wait for another to rise up. And so, despite the sheer agony coursing through my body, I grinned.

"Just because this is the condition I'm in now…" I coughed a little blood up. "Doesn't mean I'm just going to let you win."

"Ha! You and what power. You're currently far weaker than you were in that transformed state… Huh what are these?"

A thin veil of a silvery substance began to enclose him. This wasn't the first time something was strong enough to make Ink scared. However, there wasn't anywhere to move, he was boxed in. His only chance was to attack me directly, with a charged beam. It was his only shot at avoiding the full strength of this odd ability.

And so, Ink reacted… Out of the bubble came a beam so densely packed with energy, it looked like a solid object. "AHAHAHA! Direct Hit!" Then the veil turned into a hail of silver needles, piercing right through Ink's body, by the millions. The sound of his agonizing cry gave everyone hope.

The dust began to settle and I was nothing more than a broken, and beaten up body, barely clinging to life. The only good news was that Ink had definitely weakened by a considerable degree after that attack. I let out a half chuckle before more blood appeared to pour out of my body.

"Father… This is the… End. For. Me… Please, rise to defeat him."

"NO!" "DON'T YOU DIE ON ME! LEIJI!!!"

"Heh, I'm sorry… But the best I can do now is return a master to the human race. I'm sure that with her help, you'll find a way. And one more thing… Keep treating my wives the same as you've been. They'll need you and my mothers there to help them."

"LEIJI!" Yang Kai was about to charge out and fight, but he was far too weak to handle such a task. Instead, he heard another voice, his grip tightened crushing his spear. The released power began Yang Kai's 9th rank breakthrough. Which only kept him still even longer.

Summoning a little effort, I created limbs out of my Thunder. "As bad as things are now, there is still a silver lining."

"Oh yeah? From where I'm standing, it looks like you're all out of cards to play. Even that blood attack didn't kill me."

"That was a simple test I decided to gamble on. Though you're right about one thing."

"Oh? And what's that?"

A final surge of power summoned from out of nowhere. "THIS FIGHT IS OVER!"

Ink, surprised by the sudden change in the situation, covered his vitals. "Where did you have this hiding away?!"

"I've cultivated every single day of my life for a singular purpose. I tailored my power to be the end of you. And I did everything I could think of, however, I like being prepared in the event things don't end up going my way. So now… YOU FACE THE SEALING TECHNIQUE THAT PUTS HEAVEN AND HELL ALIKE, TO SHAME!" The second seal upon this technique, released creating another surge of power.

Cang's eyes widened in disbelief. "This power, it's leagues beyond the initial strength of the restriction! Just how freakish is he?" Then he notarized where this energy was actually coming from. "No way. He's serious about this. He's going to sacrifice everything to seal Ink away."

Ink heard this, and began to act. "If you plan on sealing me away again, I won't let it happen without a fight!" He did his best to surge out his Ink Force, creating millions of Ink Clan in an instant. Such a small number only because he created 4 Ink Giant Spirit Gods while he was at it.

"FURIOUS THUNDERING PRISON!"

It was right then, my thundering limbs disappeared. Lightning filled the void, wrapping Ink in an endlessly replicating sphere. It then dragged him over to the place where the Heavenly Beginning Great Restriction had once been. His screams could be heard throughout the void as lightning continuously shocked his body, ripping apart his Ink Force, converting it into power for the prison to continue working.

My body was falling into one of the numerous fractures in the void. Then out of my body stretched a final gift… A 9th rank open heaven… One that gave Cang cause for a double take.

That was the last thing they all saw before my body disappeared from the battlefield. I was gone.

Yang Kai, having felt helpless the entire time. Made a vow to himself, ascending to the 9th rank right away. He was beyond furious, he was absolutely livid as he slaughtered the ink clan as much as he possibly could. However, facing down 4 ink giant spirit gods was no easy feat. And to top it all off, of the remaining ink clan, there wasn't a single one weaker than a peak territory lord.

The new 9th rank, felt a deep sense of gratitude, and remorse. So before saying anything, she flew off to aid in the fight. The result of such actions was the remaining 9th ranks taking action. Some of the 8th ranks even joined forces to create a multi directional battle formation. However, there wasn't much anyone could do.

The Ink Clan was fleeing. They prioritized rebuilding their strength before really taking on the Human Army once more. It was ultimately the only right choice they could make. After all, while they may have been exhausted, the twins were now present in the Ink Battlefield.

Yang Kai, in his fit of rage, was like a force of nature. Though he was nothing compared to what I had recently demonstrated, he was not to be underestimated. He fought through the horde, sentencing any ink clan member to an extremely painful death. His eye techniques were constantly activating. His rage remained unrestrained by anyone until the four giant spirit gods took action. The resulting battle was nothing short of intense. In the end, Yang Kai had managed to kill one of the giant spirit gods, suffering a ton of damage.

The 9th ranks had finished their own jobs, reaching the limit of safety. The numbers of ink clan remaining were, three ink giant spirit gods, several ten thousand Territory Lords, and 500 Royal Lords.
