Someone Colder

"How long have you known Mark?" Celine asked in passing, holding the golf club with a relaxed grip.

Elena looked up and took in her posture. Celine was standing with her feet shoulder-width apart, her knees bending slightly with her back straight. She looked like she had been playing golf for a while.

Taking that into consideration, Elena knew she couldn't beat her with just four days of casual training that called back her old skills. So, there was no need to try to compete with her.

Elena tried swinging the club Mark handed to her in a backswing as a test run before adjusting her grip. If someone had asked her a question, maybe she didn't hear it.

When Celine waited for a while and didn't hear any response from Elena, she squeezed her brows and snapped her gaze back to her.

'Did she not hear me or is she pretending not to hear me? Does she not know who I am?' she thought to herself with a glare.
