Not An Acception

"What do you think Elena will say?" Eric asked just as they stopped in front of a door.

Mark grabbed the door handle and bent it. "I will have to call her now to find out," he said, pushing the door open.

"Okay, then. I will leave you some time," Eric nodded. "By the way, Mum and Grandma are waiting to hear Grandfather's condition."

"Mmm… go ahead." Mark waved his hand to him before proceeding to step inside his bedroom. He needed this alone time to be able to convey this message properly to Elena. Being alone will keep him sane at the least.

After the brothers parted ways, one went to fill the others in on the meeting while the other one went in to make an important call.

Elena was preparing to leave for work when Mark's call came in. She was trying to put on her shoes when she heard her phone ring from the nightstand.
