On Short Notice

"He really said tonight?" Grandmother raised a questioning brow after hearing from Mark.

"Yes," Mark nodded in confirmation.

"Why does he behave this way if he has given someone a chance," The old lady murmured to herself. She was referring to her husband who didn't give their grandson enough time to think about his condition.

The old lady felt that if you were giving someone another chance, then you should give it well. Make it realistic.

Eric, standing next to her and linking arms with her, shook his head. "Grandfather just wants to teach you a lesson," he said, referring to Mark. The latter acknowledged him. "I know."

Just then, their grandmother asked, "Have you spoken to…" She didn't finish her words and turned to anyone for help because she forgot Elena's name.

"Elena," Rachel pointed out.
