“Mark, if you help me, I promise I will do anything for you in return. Just as long as cheating is not involved.”

“You will do anything I want?” Mark probed, his eyes glittering as he focused on her. He now seemed more interested in her promise than in whatever it was she wanted from him.

“Yes, I give you my word.”

Mark stared into her eyes and seeing how desperate she was, he leaned back into his seat and tapped his fingers on the table. “Careful what you promise, Darling, I’m not a good boy.” 

“I don’t care,” Elena replied with determination in her eyes. “I’m not a good girl either.”

He pressed his lips on his little girl's cheek as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Daddy," she called out excitedly.

Now, she had indirectly reconfirmed that she was actually Mark Wang's daughter.

"How are you?" Mark asked when he leaned away. "Have you had something to eat?"

"Yes, uncle gave me some snacks," Mia answered as she went ahead to list the confectionaries she had eaten. She seemed very happy and comfortable letting her father know how much sweet things she had eaten than with her mother.

Mark let out a chuckle. He chatted with the little girl for a bit before asking, "Have you seen your Mummy?"

"Yes," Mia quickly answered. "She was here a while ago," Marie added.
