Closeness

Damie Wang did not care if his father meant well or not. He would never feel bad.

He was almost like the black sheep of the family simply because he chose another path in life instead of the one his family was used to.

Maybe that was the crime he committed against his father.

Rachel picked up a chicken drumstick and passed it to Mia. Seeing that big meat on her plate, Mia lifted her gaze. "Thank you, Grandma," she said with her oily lips which did well to highlight her soft natural pink lips.

"You're welcome." Rachel flashed her a smile before turning to fix her gaze on her second son. "I asked you to come with your girlfriend if you had one. So, you really don't have one?"

She was surprised that her son who would have jumped at this opportunity came home alone just to see his niece.

Was his girlfriend unavailable because of the sudden invitation or did he not have one? Rachel was confused and couldn't help asking about it.
